  1. I just happened to notice it one night recently. I know it hasn't always been that way. I just recently installed a new fog light harness, so it's possible that the plug may have wiggled loose while I was installing. I'll check the plug first and then swap the bulbs.
  2. I have new problem with my head lights. One of them only partially lights. It's just really dim. I have the auto pal housings with eautoworks harness. Any ideas?
  3. I let the epoxy cure for most of the week on the gas tank. I filled it up last night and so far so good. I should pick up the finished roll bar today.
  4. The truck is looking good so far. The more I look at my truck the more I am inclined to go the direction you're going in - a little more lift and a little more tire. I'll be watching your progress.
  5. I got the roll bar welded this week. It has to go back for a couple touch ups, but I'm happy with the way it fits so far. I had them move the light tabs out a bit and then add an additional one in the middle. This will be for a Rigid Industries Dually Diffused LED light. I'm going to use it as a cargo/extra reverse light. My gas tank has been giving me more problems recently. The last time I filled it up, I lost a couple gallons again. It all stems from the older sender/pump hole on the MJ tank. No matter what I've done I just can't get it to seal well. I wanted to be able to keep the hole accessible to gain access to the bolts for my Copperhead Fab adapter ring. Now I just decided to epoxy the bolts to the adapter ring so I don't have to worry about them spinning should I ever need to remove the fuel pump. I realized I never posted a picture of any of my gas tank stuff. The Copperhead Fab ring works, but its way over-priced for the quality. Here you can see how poorly the ring fits together (and that is after some grinding). As soon as it cures, I'll be re-installing it and I'm going to epoxy the old filler hole shut. I've already epoxied and plugged the old line holes as well as the electrical plug hole. Hopefully I can get enough of the epoxy in there to really seal it off so I don't have to worry about it leaking any more. I'm tired of losing money on spilled gas and my truck smelling like gas all the time.
  6. I love that color combination both the interior and exterior. You should at least keep the exterior color.
  7. Looks like you have a nice place to call home and work on your Jeeps. Is that your SRT?
  8. Looks good. Just out of curiosity, what did it cost to have the wheels powder coated?
  9. Has anyone tried stretching the Comanche cab enough to use 2 door XJ doors? It still wouldn't be a true extended cab with back seats, but it would give some more storage.
  10. How much of this stuff do you ever plan on using? The only reason I ask is because you say it isn't for sale. I get the whole collecting thing; if I see something valuable or rare at the JY, I take it too. But, when I take something, I usually plan on using it or selling to someone who needs it. I guess I just don't see the value of having all that stuff if you don't plan on using it or selling it. Especially when you have so many rare or hard to find parts that many people would pay good money for. Your stuff - your prerogative; just curious.
  11. What happened to those rotors?
  12. I ordered some Depo replacement factory fog lights and I got an add on harness from another member. Here is a shot of the fogs: Here is a shot of the factory switch: I will be putting in two more (hopefully) for the roll bar lights and an additional reverse light, so the defroster switch will be gone shortly. Here is a shot of them installed in the truck: I may still need to aim them some, but I'll have to wait until its dark. I also decided to go ahead and swap in my '97 transfer case shifter. I didn't get it until after the truck was back together after the swap. Here you can see the difference. The newer shifter came out of a XJ with a 231, but I have a 242, so I had to swap the gate on it too. Here it is installed: The roll bar will be welded up this week (supposedly), so hopefully pictures of it soon.
  13. Looks great! What size tires are those?
  14. The export version is called Just J8. They were going to make a no weld bolt in version, but it never happened. I got to see the Gladiator in person and it was awesome. I believe it was actually based on a HD Ram chassis. They toted it around for a while and made everyone think they were going to make a production version (even repainted it yellow), but the likelihood of actually seeing one in this generation is slim to none. From what I've heard, they are filling capacity with the Wrangler as it is now, so it doesn't make much sense to develop another vehicle without capacity to build it.
  15. It took me just as long, but I bought the whole Jeep and I'm using it as my dd, so... I guess that doesn't really count. How much did Ebay take for it?
  16. I was trying to think of something that you would be looking for that you don't have and the only thing I could think of is a factory roll bar. That's my guess.
  17. The driver side in my 2 dr XJ makes the same noises. How difficult is it to replace?
  18. Mike, here is my stab at Mango Tango and since you said in your build thread that Dark Gray is another consideration, I did one for it too. While I think Dark Gray would look good, Mango Tango just really pops.
  19. So the rear defroster is what turns on the heated mirrors? Makes sense I guess.
  20. Haha that's awesome! My brother just bought a Crush JK. It would have matched pretty well. I did plenty of photoshops on my truck before I settled on the color. I've got Photoshop at work if you have any other colors you're interested in. I can take a stab at it too. This isn't Mango Tango, but Go Mango. I'm not sure how different they are, but should give you an idea.
  21. I found a shop to weld up the light bar, so that should be done in about 2 weeks. Once that's done, I'll spray in the Raptor liner once we get some warm weather back. I haven't picked out my lights for the bar yet though. I know I want 2 forward facing lights and then a rear facing cargo lamp/reverse light. I also just ordered up some factory fog lights and wiring.
  22. Well Mike, here's your challenge: finish this one even faster than the last! Honestly, I can't believe how quickly yours came together even with your convenient work schedule. That looks like a perfect donor and I still say Mango Tango all the way. Looking forward to seeing this one come together!
  23. I'm surprised hardly anyone has posted any pictures. Course, I'm sure most of us aren't model material...
  24. I tried a Certifit fender and it barely passed for a Cherokee fender it fit so poorly. I've got a set for sale and I've had plenty of interest at my price point, but I don't want to ship. I'd come down on my price if someone would just come pick it up. Full front clips at the pull a part around here are almost non-existent.
  25. How about straight header for that nice rumbly V8 sound? I_SGV62aoek This was a just a test; I ended up using a Flowmaster Super 40. I'm pretty happy with it.
