  1. The Pull-a-Part in Charlotte doesn't get too many 97+ XJs and when they do, they get picked over very quickly. I wouldn't bother stopping unless they haven't been on the lot very long.
  2. Congratulations to a much deserving and well respected member!
  3. I've got to stop looking at your build Mike! I keep trying to figure out how to justify long arms and 33s.
  4. What is this "done" that you speak of? Oh, never mind I found the definition: Done - A temporary state of waiting until enough funds have been saved for the next phase of your build.
  5. That video was uploaded to youtube back in 2011...
  6. You guys got a small cameo at the end of AOL's The List SEMA episode. Its at the very end behind the AEV JK Brute. http://www.autoblog.com/the-list/
  7. My 99 Sport has power locks but no keyless entry. My 97 donor had a small housing for the board between the visors, but the 99 has nothing there.
  8. I got mine two days after I ordered. Happy so far.
  9. Thanks for the comments guys. It's hard to remember what it was like when I bought it. I just remember seeing a lot of potential. Next on the list is bedliner. With 200k miles I need to start putting money away for a new engine somewhere down the road (hopefully further down the road). I'd love to drop a turbo or supercharged stroker in it. I have a feeling that it would cost as much as I have in the truck now though.
  10. The paint I used on the bar didn't hold up very well, so I may just use the Upol Raptor on it when I do the bed. Here are some daylight pics I snapped at my brother's house today: I probably need to aim the lights a little better, but they're close for now.
  11. So I installed some new injectors today. I'll have to report back on the performance since I haven't driven it yet. But the great progress I made today was on the light bar. I ended up rewiring everything. I took my time to route everything nice and neat. I installed quick disconnects at the base of the bar, so that I can remove the bar without having to rewire it. The spots are connected to a factory fog light switch and I can turn them on independently (at all times). I'm very happy with the how everything ended up (not so happy with the process). Here is a shot of the reverse/cargo light. Its the only light on in my garage. Its on a separate switch as well, so I can use it as a backup light, or a cargo light whenever. It has a diffuser on it to scatter the light. Here is a shot of the ProComp lights: I will have to repaint the bar when I line the bed, but for now, my lighting is finished. I'll snap some daytime pictures tomorrow.
  12. What made you pick Toxic Orange oner Mango Tango or Amber Fire?
  13. A CC discount? Awesome! Can I get that after the fact? I actually got them from a 4 Wheel Parts store about 15 minutes from my office.
  14. I paid a little extra ($7) and got a warranty on them. For three years, if even the paint tarnishes, I can bring them back and get brand new ones. I'm not sure if it will cover breakage, but possibly. You can see in the picture that I still have my temporary hardware holding it in. That will be corrected this weekend as well.
  15. I've got a lot done on the light bar. It's been painted, but I scratched in some places while installing it and wiring the lights. I'll reprint it when I do the bed liner. The reverse light is wired and works well. The spots are Procomp 100w 5x7s if I remember correctly. I won't get to finish wiring until this weekend to know how well they work. Any way, here is a shot I took at work today.

    S14 KOUKI

I'm not familiar with kouki. What is the significance?
  17. Yes that is One place but I would Never recommend them to anyone especially if you are Canadian... I have had first hand experience with them and Never again.... Once you know what vehicle to look up you can use this to find the part numbers and get your local Auto parts store to get you them in... http://www.showmetheparts.com/autoline/# Oh. well.... I'm not in Canada, so maybe I'll have better luck.
  18. I saw them earlier and saw on some other threads that some others had recommended them, so I went ahead and ordered them. Thanks for your input. Even if it only gives me a slight 1-2 mpg increase, it will pay for itself over the next year in mileage savings alone. Plus a best idle and throttle response would be better too. I can't imagine not seeing any difference since mine motor has so many miles on it.
  19. My 1997 motor recently hit 200k miles. At some point down the road it will die and I'll put a stroker in it, but for now I'd like a little better performance. With that in mind, I got to thinking that my injectors have probably never been changed. How can I tell if they need changing and if they do, does anyone have recommendations on upgraded replacements?
  20. Do you need an e-brake pedal? I've got one if you need it.
  21. Amber Fire is one of those colors that in the shade does nothing for me, but put it out in the sunlight and I fall in love with it all over again. That Mango Tango looks fantastic though. As far as the front end conversion, you'll need the fenders and fender brackets (at the front), the header, marker lights (front and side) and the wiring. If you want the bumper, obviously that will have to swap and I think the bumper brackets are different too.
  22. What are your thoughts on those ProComp lights? I was looking at them today for my roll bar.
  23. Were they Bosch? Cause that's what was on the bar when i got it. They were trash, but they were pretty huge. I will definitely be running the wires through the bar before I bolt it down for good. I just need to decide which lights I'll get.
  24. OK, got some more tweaks done to the bar and got the mounting holes for the main hoop drilled. This bar was not built for the truck and so all the mounting points have been a sore spot for me. The wheel wells actually slope down slightly toward the middle of the bed (at least mine do). The bed has been thoroughly used in its past life, so I'm not worried about it being perfect, but I still want it to look good. This is the gap that I have right now. And I got my light, so here's how it looks on the bar:
  25. You got it. It was a bad ground.
