  1. I would never deliberately wish any harm on any body, but I've been finding myself thinking about Steve, calling me and informing that due to his wife being pregnant, or that he got thrown off a horse and broke his leg that he is unable to get the Jeep and i can have it. Am I wrong?

Yep. Both of them. And this is a Democrat strong hold.

I know we're asked to keep politics off the forum but I'm really curious. Has any of you been aware of the recall election we had here to recall two Senators who voted for a gun law? Magazine size restriction. Any way they got voted out. I'm just wondering how much attention this got around the country.
  4. am I the only one that read that wrong? :rotf: That's why i added the 'oversize load' highway part. You've seen them. A vehicle with flashing yellow, Amber lights, Red lags and a "OVERSIZE LOAD" sign on front and rear of truck. But then I know when I'm being teased. OOOPS. Just reread and caught it. OK. Ya got me on that one. LOL
  5. Rob. Your pic shows a inverted U going from the middle top of the bar to the bed floor. This doesn't have it.
  6. I've got a couple of them. Whats' your location?
  7. Fishdmax asked me to go look at it for him. I did. It is one clean truck. Could not find one rust spot or dent on it. Just faded paint. He made the guy an offer and he took it. I made it plain that if he doesn't get it I will. Fella claims the engine stalls. I didn't test drive it but the engine ran, idled good. From the symptoms described and from what I saw it's good possibility a fuel delivery problem. He's going to pick it up Thur and drop by the house so I can take a better look. Roll bar looked like a home made job. But a very good one. Brush guard looked like it's from something else and worked to fit. Again, a good job. Rob. If you have a pic of the J10 roll bar could you drop me a copy? Something to compare. The worst thing I could see wrong was the cowl cover was cracked. Had to hold it down to open the hood.
  8. Got a '97 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 engine and a bad 42RE. Got perfectly good '93 AW4 laying on the ground I'm going to swap into it. Anybody already done this? Got any hints or things to look out for? Tried search. No luck.?
  9. Been down cleaning out the garage and shed. Gonna have a yard sale this week end. Can't believe some of the junk,,er,,good stuff I got crammed away. Any body need a engine rebuild kit for a 1947 Diamond T? .030 rings. .010, .010 bearings. Gasket set is kind of dried out. Motor manuals, 40, 50 and 60's. These are the heavy books. Not the Clymer and Haynes pamplets they sell now. How about a 4 speed transmission for a 1937 International? Ever hear of a Primus portable camp stove? GF suggests I post them on EBay instead of trying to sell them here. Nobody in Pueblo would be interested in this kind of stuff. Jeeez but I am a pack rat. Won't throw nuthin away.
  10. I have been to a couple auctions where something I wanted didn't sell. After the auction was over I talked to the auctioneer, offered him half of what the highest bid was. About half the time I would get it. Usually when they state there is a reserve after the bidding starts, I just walk away.
  11. For $400 I can make my own. But I'm afraid you may be right. We'll see.
  12. We need more yard sales.
  13. Keep us posted Jim...i remember someone a while back who, iirc, got a company to make some, but needed several confirmed orders to start. My mj wasnt even running at the time, but wish i would've got in on that. don't even remember how it turned out, actually. Yes, I remember that. I think it was Bo (shelbyluvv). As it usually works here, everyone was rah-rah to do it then when commitment time came down, utter silence. Maybe Bo can fill in the blanks. And that's exactly what I expect to happen here. But, we'll see.
  14. Back when I was running a oversize load escort service and owned my own trailer toter I had all 7 of my vehicles on propane. Can't say nothing bad about it. Ran a '72 Chevy C10 with the 250 6cyl in it. At 300K it needed a ring job. Cylinders were clean. No carbon build up. They were all dual fuel. By flipping a switch they would run propane or reg gas. Father in law ran all his equipment on propane. Five trucks and 3 drilling rigs. Propane has a lower BTU rating but higher octane rating than gas. If you just switch over you will lose a little horsepower. By increasing the compression ratio, domed pistons or milling the head and advancing the the spark a couple degrees you will regain it back.
  15. Are there any peeps here remember back a couple years I bought the very last hitch Draw Tite made? Sold it to a fellow CC member. Had no interest in mounting it on one of my Jeeps. Just liked the idea of getting the last one.
  16. I seem to have neglected to mention that I sent that to Reese. Was going to send one to Draw Tite next but Buthershop already did.
  17. Clean engine. Clean mind. take yer choice. A clean engine is a happy engine!
  18. This is true. But to get to the head the water must flow thru the block. If the block is stopped up, no flow to the head.
  19. Had a Chevy engine with a over heating problem a couple years back. Nothing helped. Chemicals, flush, etc.. Popped out all 4 freeze plugs. The back 3 were filled with rust and sediment completely covering the hole. The front one had maybe a 3/8 gap between the top of the crud and the top of the hole. A couple minutes spent with a piece of wire and a vacuum cleaner cleared it up. Just saying.
  20. Somebody just did. "I am a member of Comanche club. A group of people dedicated to the preservation of the Jeep Comanche pick up. I am inquiring as to the possibility of Reese making a number of trailer hitches for the Comanche. Whether or not you would be interested. If so what would be the minimum number of orders be needed? Payment, deposit in advance? Thank you." Anybody else going to contact them?
  21. Aren't these parts the same as a full size Chevy? Any GM?
  22. So how did the deer taste? You did salvage it didn't you?
  23. If you drop it from a high enough height you can bend, squash a metal stand.
  24. Would you know if the gen 2 blocks were drilled and tapped for the longitudinal motor mounts? In other words, can they be used in a RWD set up? So the '90 up still used the poor oiling system?
  25. Duct Tape!
