I just covered the whole inside of my Comanche in fatmat raddletrap. Made a HUGE difference over stock so much more quiet and way less heat. 36 square feet is about 90 dollars and it comes with a roller and a razor to cut and install it. 100% worth it.

This has to be my favorite Comanche, love the original red with the chrome wheels.

got home and started more work on the interior, have to finish welding in the seat brackets i made to replace the old rusted ones. sandblasted the seat frames and painted them. in the future i would like to get prp daily driver series seats due to all the tearing in the factory bucket seats. and finish installing all the interior trim pieces.

got the rest of it put together and took it on the first drive in a couple months, did some exploring in colliers mills wma around the house until it broke down, not really sure what went wrong kinda just shut off wouldn't start then tried to crank it a couple mins later and it started just fine and ran fine.

made some progress over the weekend. coated the bottom of the bed in por15 and then undercoat. ran all new fuel lines put the bed on and tank in. put the rear jcr bumper on. and went to a swap meet and bought some 97+ doors to make into half doors in the future.

i'm reinstalling my gas tank into my truck and the filler neck has some rust holes in it. anyone know if they are made new or am i going to have to find on from a junkyard or a parts comanche. or will one from a different vehicle fit?
-
coated the frame and the bottom of the new floor pans in por15. waiting for it to dry i put the front bumper on.

work on the jeep has been slow due to all the rain there has been and school things getting in the way. i got the under the bed sections of the frame stiffeners on from t and m metal fab. terrible fit and they take a lot of trimming and hammering to get into a good stop. i wouldn't recommend them. but they are frame stiffeners, and they do just that.

there's a huge Comanche always sitting down the road from me at a jeep shop, seen it in jp magazine a while back. finally seen the guy driving it today. it has 14 inches of lift on 39s and narrowed dana 44s.

anyone going to ocean city maryland jeep week in august? i'm heading down there for a couple days with a few friends and some jeeps. curious to see if any other comanche's will be there.
-
welded everything in on the inside of the frame rails and put on a couple coats of por15.
-
made some reinforced cross member brackets to weld on the inside of the frame rail just for some added strength and since a couple of the originals were stripped. welded nuts to the top, ill take pics when i weld them in solid tomorrow.

haven't done much to the Comanche except weld in the inner rockers and start the floor. went wheeling with a couple friends today with a group of about 40 jeeps. i rode with my buddy in his tj on 33s.

i'm looking to buy a short bed, there is a couple local I have been looking at in pretty good shape, no wheel well rust or big dents. i have no clue what a bed would cost. anyone know what a decent shape short bed would go for? also if I end up buying one i will be selling my short bed with some bondo above the wheel wells. what would be a fair price to charge for it? thanks.

finally pushed the jeep outside to weld the inner rockers on, the bolts for the bottom seat belt mount are welded on the backside of the inner rocker, i didn't have any bolts the correct size so went to tractor supply to get some for the seat belts and new bolts for the cross member. came back and it snowed. just my luck, thanks new jersey :/
