I don't know if the MJ's have this, but there is a fuse in my monte carlo that went out and it did the exact same thing. Once I replaced it fired right up. Could be that, if the MJ has something similar

I love mine because it was the first truck I bought, well traded for. The body is great, minus the driver rocker and floors. My only issue is it's the 86 and it's going to be a little rougher gettin the 4.0 in, but I doubt I'll get rid of it when it's done.

Thats what I figured. I may go to 4.56, but I do like the fact of only messing with one axle!

Nevermind. In the course of the last few days I've decided to just do a 4.0 swap. Better for what I want, 350 will go into a full rig, not a DD. Sticking with the d44 and d30, runnin 33's so I think I should be good, but gearing is my biggest issue. I have no idea what to gear to. I believe I have 4.10 in the 30, but the 44 should have like 3.55 or 3.73(came from an 87 cherokee with tow package). Need input on the best gear ratio, or just options on gearing in general.

8" long arm lift, 35's and DD, doing some trails(light/medium) and mud. I will most likely use the power liberaly, I have a lead foot and all my buddies just mud so I'll be slingin a lot.

Looking at driver side. I intend on buying a whole donor chevy, so I will have to watch what axles are under the donor before I buy it. Hopefully I get lucky with something!

That's what I figured. What would be a good donor for a front 44?

I'm doing the 350 swap and want to run 35's and run around 300 hp and as much torque as I can get. Will my d30 hold?What would be a good axle to swap in the front if the 30 won't hold?

So I've been doing as much research as I can and started thinking. Will the d44 I picked up be good for the 350 swap? I'm getting a whole truck so I'll have the chevy axles, and with running atleast 300 hp and as much torque as I can get, will the 44 handle that and 35's?

I'm just not one for trying to perch my truck up on a pile of rocks, and potentially falling over, and over, and over. Trails, however, are a blast. Except with the long bed, gets tight sometimes.

Yea chef school . I'd like to get involved, but crawling really isn't my thing so I'd most likely do trails and boggs at the outtings.

Now looking back I wish I would have sold the VW and bought a different MJ, but I got one and thats all that matters now!

Louisville is fantastic compared to where I'm from in Ohio. Now Nashville, I'd like to get an XJ or MJ from there! No rust unless the car has ohio plates lol
