  1. Haha I should totally do a mixmaster one at some point. Lemme see if they'll let me do that in a small quantity and I might have to make that happen I just mocked them up and they are gonna look AWESOME in black/silver. Thanks again for the input guys, hope to have them ordered in the next day or so and should be here in a couple weeks
  2. LOL I'm sure people will be SCOURING ebay for those rare pins 20 years from now! Yeah it changed the line weight when I changed the color and I forgot to switch it back. Actual production will look the same as the older versions. Although, you raise a good point - what about black lines on black paint? I think the last version came out okay, but I was thinking about doing a chrome line/black paint version - kind of like this but chrome instead of gold: Probably the only person that will buy one is Hornbrod haha but I think they will look cool! Thanks for your input guys
  3. Hey guys, been a while! Looks... different around here haha. Nice to see the forums upgraded. So I've been busy with life/school/work/kid etc etc etc and haven't had much time for side projects, but now I'm ready to get back into the pin game! I'm about to order the base level Comanche pins finally but I wanted some input from you guys. First off, what colors would you like to see? I have a fair amount of flexibility with this, so even if there are only a couple guys who want an odd color or whatever, I should be able to accommodate everyone more or less. Wheels - what style? What are the most common ones out there? Headlights I'm changing to a silvery grey. And lastly, do you guys like the little desert/rock background thing going on or get rid of that? Couple mockups: e: kinda digging this combination of the perspective text and the dirt? Again, these are just drafts, just wanna get an idea for what people like/don't like. Other than that, anything else I got wrong? Haven't had anyone mention I messed up on any dimensions or details but I'm open to hearing that stuff, just wanna get it right. Thanks guys!
  4. Glad you like it! And yeah I agonized over what to do for the headlights haha. I'll probably modify it on the next version. Thanks again to everyone who ordered so far!
  5. Yes, exactly. It reduced the prep costs and the truck will still be used for light duty work so didn't want to spend the money on paint only to have it get scratched up immediately. Had a bedliner but got rid of it when I got my rollbar.
  6. Thanks! Yeah the reason I went with him was not purely from a price standpoint, I just got a good feeling from him in general and the fact that he did body work for a Chrysler dealership in the 80s-90's didn't hurt either! Stopped by this morning to drop off my new rear glass and check on the progress. Almost done! Came out okay I guess :clapping:
  7. Awesome, thanks! Shipping today. Sorry for the delay on these, been busy with work/kid life. Will modify the design over the weekend and get the order in for the new pins/patches Monday. Thanks!
  8. Yeah I got some plans for a SporTruck design. Stay tuned
  9. Haha I'll try to get there eventually! Probably gonna do just a plain "Comanche" next then do some of the other variants soon.
  10. They'll be in the next batch I order, but lead time is realistically like a month. They will probably be a similar design to this but with "Comanche" in the Helvetica Neue font used on the badges on our trucks instead of "Eliminator" at the top. I'll post a mockup before I order them. I'm also open to suggestions on colors!
  11. I mean I don't make them myself personally haha but I deal directly with a factory that produces all my designs for me.
  12. Went to check on the paint progress and drop off a couple parts for my body guy. Getting there! Still have a couple weeks to go, which is fine because I'm in the middle of putting a project garage together with my Dad and it won't be done for a few more weeks anyway. Can't wait to see it all done!
  13. Hey guys, Pete said it would be cool if I posted this in the Pub as well as vendors. So I got tired of fruitlessly searching for more Comanche pins to add to my collection, so I decided to design and make my own! Just in red for now. https://www.etsy.com/listing/525614284/jeep-comanche-pickup-truck-patch?ref=listing-shop-header-1 Hey, I don't have an Eliminator! Will there be base model/SporTruck/Pioneer pins in the future? Of course! This was just the first of hopefully many designs to come. Do Comanche Club members get a discount??? Heck yeah! You guys get FIVE BUCKS off your order when you use promo code COMANCHECLUB at checkout! (min order $10) Do you ship internationally? Sure do! I ship First Class international which usually runs around $13 depending on your location. Hope you guys enjoy em, the photos really don't do them justice! They came out awesome. Thanks!

  15. Truck is in final stages of a repaint but the flares are in really bad shape. Looking for ideally a full set of front and rear flares, if you have mounting stuff then even better but I can probably reuse what I have. Don't care about color as much as condition. Just shoot me a PM with a photo of what you got and asking price. I'm located in Philadelphia PA if you want to estimate shipping too. Thanks!
  16. Thanks man, yeah I'll definitely wanna get back to Wharton soon as the paint is done
  17. As usual, it's been a while! Mostly just driving the truck and enjoying it as is but finally decided to get the paint done. Almost done the prep work on my end before it goes to the shop, I am pretty much removing everything for them and swapping out the damaged fender and header panel for some intact ones I picked up. The paint on the hood was so bad they recommended I find a replacement hood with good paint/clearcoat to cut down on the prep work and save some $$$. Still need to finish removing the decals (hated doing this but they will be replaced), door handles/locks, and rear window. Planning on keeping it factory color, Colorado Red. Gonna be expensive, more than I paid for the truck by a lot, but will be worth it.
  18. Came to post almost exactly this (even down to the model year!) I had very minimal experience working on my own vehicles but I did have access to basic tools (and have since bought WAY more haha), the ability to follow basic instructions and the desire to learn. That's really all you need, almost two years later and I feel comfortable doing basically any repair on this truck or my friends XJ's. They are pretty easy and even fun to work on, especially if you can find one down there that isn't super rusty! I can't even imaging how nice it must be to wrench on a truck where every bolt doesn't fight you coming off.
  19. My truck is going to paint soon so figured I might as well replace the busted rear window since I'm removing it anyway. Looking for a complete rear glass assembly, I guess I can reuse my rubber seal? Looking for one with the sliding window in functional condition. PM me with what you got and asking price, thanks
  20. I've found that most of the decent deals on MJ's in my area seem to be listed on the local Jeep Facebook groups and most never even make it to Craigslist. I know Facebook sucks and all but if you're looking for a Comanche, it's worth joining all the Jeep groups in your area and all the Comanche buy/sell/trade groups too. That seems to be where most people are listing stuff these days, and communication can (not always but usually) be easier since you are dealing with people in a bit more personal, real name based manner than through anonymous emails/texts/etc.
  21. Hurst short throw
  22. Got a couple inches in Philly and it's still coming down a bit. Hoping I can get out and play for a while when this dude goes down for his nap :) Update: got out to play! Snow was only like 3-4 inches but powdery and perfect for sliding around :)
  23. So just to close this thread, cuz it drives me crazy when I'm reading forums looking to solve a problem and the OP disappears without saying if they ever fixed it: Got a throttle body with TPS and IAC already attached for cheaper than either sensor by itself, slapped it on and it's purring like a kitten. Well, maybe a tappy/slappy kitten but yeah startup idle is perfect, throttle response perfect, everything is copacetic. I'm pretty sure I buggered the TPS when I took it off to clean everything. That thing is a MAJOR PITA to get off! They use like a gallon of threadlocker on the screws, which are of course T20 and strip out completely but not before mangling like 3 bits. I ended up cutting the ends of the screws off and just sliding the TPS off, even with the whole screw exposed it was still really tough to turn it out of the throttle body housing, took a lot of heat to get loosened up. But hey, all's well that ends well.
  24. So to follow up on this, my truck is almost back to normal. I cleaned the TB and replaced the gasket, then reset the ECU by leaving the battery disconnected for a couple hours then doing the whole key to on, lights on, off, etc song and dance. However, on startup the engine surges up to 2000 rpm and holds there. It also blows white smoke from the exhaust. Once I put it in gear and drive just a couple blocks, the idle gradually goes down to a normal level and within a minute or two everything is peachy and it's driving great for the rest of the ride, zero white smoke even if I rev it up. I did a compression test recently with all numbers right at 140. I tried resetting the ECU again by touching the battery cables together for 30 seconds and doing the rest of the procedure again, no change. Is this just a result of the adaptive memory beginning the relearning process? I haven't driven it a ton since resetting the first time, should I just keep driving and see if it gets better? Checked vacuum lines for leaks and they seem to be ok. Maybe TPS is not adjusted correctly? I had a hell of a time getting it off, maybe I damaged it, except it seems to work fine once I've been driving a bit.
  25. Omg I love stuff like this so much, thanks for posting!
