  1. I would like to buy the armrest attach to door parts, I only need The armrest mounting nipple, a whitish plastic/nylon part with the square hole that inserts into the door, then a metal clip goes into that piece by inserting it in the square hole. These parts hold the armrest upper stud that is flat on two sides to the door. My lower bottom two screws and inserts are ok, so only need the upper stud parts. Mopar lists Part# J3077045 as the whitish nipple insert, and J3076062 as the metal clip that actually grips the upper armrest stud. Help !!! For my drivers side door, the passenger door side is ok. Bill
  2. My Factory original pump Bosch lasted 23 years 135,000 miles on my 1992 Comanche, so I replaced it with a Bosch 69302 Fuel Pump 2 months ago and everything works just fine. It's a pretty quiet pump.
  3. Thanks for all the advice and reply's. Yes will do the RMS on my garage floor starting Monday. The video really helped, it was on a grand Cherokee and he left the axle attached. I will attempt it with the front axle installed but will remove it if needed. Thanks to all. Using Fel- Pro gasket OS34308R, and Fel Pro rear main seal BS40612 just ordered from Amazon. Total of $33.05 for both pieces.
  4. Will I be able to get the oil pan off by lifting the 1992 Comanche 4.0 liter, both front tires off the ground by 2 inches and jack stands on frame behind lower control arms. I want to leave the oil pump and sump screen on the engine if possible. Or do I also need to disconnect the lower shock bolts and sway bar links? I read every thread on the RMS already. I just want to make sure I can get the oil pan off this way and have enough clearance. Thanks..
  5. Bo, thank you . Hang in there!!!! I will get that puller tomorrow from Autozone. Bill
  6. Thanks for the correct part # ES3096L. Autozone said a Duralast ES3096 should work and he just ordered that with NO "L" at the end of the part#. Do you think it will come off ok at the pittman arm with a pickle fork and big hammer or will I need a tie rod puller that has the threaded bolt in the center ?
  7. Is Moog # ES3095R the correct part number that from the drag link adjuster, the ball end that attaches to the Pitman arm, looks like a tie rod end, parts guy could not figure it out completely for my 1992 Comanche, I will replace the drag link and upgraded tie rod tomorrow I hope. Thanks.
  8. Well the ccv does pop out on a 1992 Comanche, but I wound up breaking it off, took the valve cover off to get remainder of CCV out by wiggling out the broken piece with long nose vise grips on workbench , new CCV popped back in easily. Lessons learned today. There is a 1/16 inch or so thin ridge that bulges out on the bottom of CCV.
  9. How do you remove the valve cover ccv fitting and grommet on the rear of the valve cover ? I can not find the pictures that were on here recently about prying them out. I did search many threads already. My 1992 valve cover is Aluminum. Thanks.
  10. Thank You fellows. The reason I asked was below my device the clip spring is broken, Jeep dealer and Chevy GM dealership says item is discontinued. I will go to the pull apart junkyard and try to get that spring tomorrow. My ignition lock cylinder fell apart yesterday and I was replacing the lock cylinder with a new one and discovered that issue, and also the torm screw/bolt that holds the lock cylinder in place was missing, so pull a part here I come. I will get it all back together tomorrow I hope, its all apart tonight.
  11. Inside the 1992 Saginaw tilt steering column, below the turn signal assembly, there is a white nylon bar with 2 copper flat short metal bars attached to that near the ignition lock switch assembly, the function of it is to activate the lock warning buzzer, if I leave that out will the buzzer just remain silent, or will it buzz all the time ?
  12. Thanks, wheels on the ground to remove and replace the trackbar, thanks. Hope someone chimes in with the eye to eye center length still.
  13. Can someone tell me the stock trackbar length center to center where it mounts please? Also do you replace it with the wheels on the ground or wheels extended off above the ground? Thanks.
  14. Bo, Looks like you re-enlisted,good job, go for 30 years now. You look great in a Marine uniform. Bill in Wetumpka Al.
  15. Today I installed the Bosch fuel pump 69302 and Dorman lock ring 55810. These pictures sure made the installation a lot easier. I removed the rear driveshaft, actually disconnected it from the rear Dana 44 and just slid it towards the passenger side to gain easier access . Lock ring came off easy, but I could not get sending unit fuel pump out of the 18.5 gallon tank. So I removed the factory fuel skid plate and then it came out. I did grind out the upper metal bracket as shown in the photo's, Big Thank You on those photo's that helped immensely or I would have been lost . Went back together and installed in the fuel tank fairly easy. My hardest part was getting the new lock ring on but finally did. took me about 2 hours, my first fuel tank pump ever. I could replace it again in 30 to 40 minutes if I ever needed to. I am sure it was the original fuel pump in my 1992 Comanche, it was larger Bosch pump that lasted 23 years I think. Thanks for all the photos and advice fellows. Bill in Alabama
  16. Looks solid for a 1986 and you have rear mud flaps. It's a keeper.
  17. Area51werks, Tomorrow @ 0800AM Thursday my Comanche bed rails are going to receive LineX coating on them. But thanks for the offer.
  18. Anyone have #8 that rubber band type holder that holds the jack in place, mine is missing ? Wondering if Cherokee's XJ's have it also. Appreciate this diagram Hornbrod.
  19. Yellaheap, thanks, those would work. Are they stainless steel or mild steel?
  20. Has anyone put aluminum tread plate bed rail caps on their Comanche. Any pictures of them would be appreciated. Maybe early 90's Dodge Dakota caps will fit ? Thanks. Bill in Alabama
  21. Oh boy "O" Boy that shorty is Sweet. It's done right. Just Awesome and Cool l!!!.
  22. Shelbyluvv, it was very nice to meet you and your wife today and study your highly modified 89 Comanche. Glad you made it home ok in your Comanche. Take Care. Enjoy the Leer Camper Shell. Hang in there for 30 years active duty. Bill
  23. A great project it is. The 1992 dash and interior is in nice solid shape. It's a keeper.
  24. I see many members favor the Bosch 69302 fuel pump. The Carter P74155 fuel pump is about the same price. I have read about every fuel pump problem in these forums the last few days. My question is, since no exact Mopar replacement pump is manf. any more, are any other brand name pumps an easy install with no modifications, Bosch pump requires some modifications. ? Is the Carter pump easier to install than the Bosch pump? After I tap or knock off the ring , I will replace it with the Dorman 55810 ring and rubber gasket. This is my first fuel pump ever that I will be installing. I will change the fuel filter the same day also. Thanks.
  25. Thank you, for the info. Guess mine just has a newer oil pan, must have been changed, at least its a Mopar pan.
