  1. doesn't Bob run the drop brackets?
  2. OK Adam, Pat made this post therefore he is coming hell or high water. Any weekend is good for me. You know me, i will be going. Probably leaving friday at noon like always and get there at 5/6pm. Wait for everyone else to arrive and hangout my the campfire. All day ride Saturday and head home sunday. And will the 3800 be in current form or newly lifted?
  3. i have the Rustys leaf springs and they haven't sagged yet. they were on for about 6 months. I now am SOA because they just werent tall enough.
  4. how did it sit?? do you have any pics i don't have any pics. it sat pretty much level, maybe just a little higher in the front.
  5. true. all I'm saying is do it once and do it right.
  6. haha, pops IDK where you get these crazy ideas of yorn  but, If I had all my own tools set up and an air compressor, I'd have no problem working in the barn. actually, that's a pretty good idea truth be told. Pops, ya need a new air compressor so I can have your old one :brows: :D TNT, it's not off limits, but it IS wet right now. and cold. if I set up a nice lil spot in it for me to work on my jeep it wouldn't be so bad, but I'd need to replace a few windows and move some stuff around, then make a ramp off the end of the barn instead of the dropoff, and then I wouldn't be able to fit something as big as I wanna go in the barn anyways... see, i have some good ideas once in awhile
  7. x2. my old 88 had them on it when i bought it and the first thing i did to it was rip them off. luckily i saved it from rusting.
  8. He can't work on them there either cuz thats where he's gona be sleepin soon. :chillin: :brows: :chillin: pops make him sleep in the Cherokee :D
  9. i thought your pops said no more Jeeps in the garage? that he did... I can get them in to work on them quick but they can't be in for lengthy periods (no real projects...) ahhh, well you know that there is a nice red barn that could be used :brows:
  10. i thought your pops said no more Jeeps in the garage?
  11. Thanks !!! Did you have to do any modification to the bump stop ?? Not yet. I do need to though. I will pick up 2 hockey pucks. really cheap and work like a charm.
  12. If i was in your position, which i was a few months ago, i would do it once. Save up for the lift kit/lift parts that you want. And lift it to the height that you want it at. I always wanted a 6in lift front and SOA rear. Well i first did 3in in the front with no lift rear, then 5in lift in the front with a AAL and extended shackle in the rear, but that wasn't tall enough so i got the Rustys 4.5 SUA leafs. But then the back was higher so i got 6in coils, but then the Rustys leafes werent the best for offroading because they would drag so i did the SOA
  13. 167,000 Old 88 Sportruck had 103,000 when i sold it
  14. lowers=17 1/2" uppers=15 5/8" I actually have a 6.5in lift in the front so they are a little longer. I would try 17" for the lowers and 15 1/2" for the uppers
  15. people around here don't even notice 2 inches.
  16. i would get adjustable control arms. like rubicon express, don't get rustys.
  17. I would love to go, but its a little too far.
  18. that thing looks badass
  19. here are my rock rails. finished just got to primer and paint them.

  22. ...and lift it a little higher :brows:
