  1. I've accumulated a hoard myself so replacement would not be an issue but at the same time I would hate myself to break one. I know there's always people talking about how easy it would be to reproduce them, but realistically, has anyone tried? I'm not sure what a re-pop set would go for but I'd personally be willing to give $250 or so for a set just to get someone going.
  2. I couldn't find one either and ended up installing a Mitsubishi single DIN unit. Looks almost factory. Do you have a part number on that? Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk
  3. Sounds like you sucked the reservoir dry Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk
  4. That's not a junkyard item up there? I'm going to try to reuse the one on a donor vehicle, once I find one Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk
  5. If money was no object, yes, and a 241. But alas I'm on a budget of $750 just trying to get the daily going again.
  6. Welp, the BA10 bit the dust. I'm going to try to cover most of the swap. There are other write ups out there that I'm sure would do a better job of covering this but I'm going to try to show everything from my "fairly inexperienced" position. I hope this will be just what someone is looking for to help them get their swap done. A swap is my only option as I AM NOT replacing the poo goat tranny. Since this is my first write up, it's a learning curve. I'm going to try to break it up into sections. You picked a fine time to leave me first gear. Driving to school on 1-13-17, I let the clutch out in first, got going and three clunks and a thud later I added myself a second neutral position. So I pulled over, gave it the seventeen second inspection, crossed the toes and kept driving. It sounds like a box of rocks getting beat around by a 200 pound gorilla but it still drives. 140 miles later it's still driving but just how long is unknown. (Picture of crippled jeep added for artistic flare) Sourcing a donor. I'm either going to go with an AX15 or a NV3550, whichever pops up first is what I'm going with. The odds of an NV3550 showing up in the middle of NoDak is slim, so AX15 it will be. I am requiring myself to avoid internal slave as I am trying to avoid issues, not cause more. I'm trying to source a complete parts jeep for $400 or less as to keep my total swap budget under $750. I will update when a donor is found, and go from there.
  7. I've got a couple sets for sale
  8. Those pictures are rad, I love it!

  10. The sister asked what I wanted for Christmas so Jeep apparel was it. She came through. What did you guys get? I also got gas struts for the tool box and keys for the boxes locks but they're not nearly as cool as this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I had a mint one I got from my JY that was on a Grand Wagoneer, sold it for $200.
  12. If you were to do an OBDII swap I would skip 96 completely. Yes it simplifies the process greatly but you get one year parts like the ECM, fuel pump, a lot of wiring issues, ETC. 97-01 parts are pretty universal to some extent and one year parts aren't very hard to find. I would also skip 97 too since that was also a transition year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. PM me an offer. I have no asking price in mind.
  14. he wanted 54 a piece for tail lights and I got them for 39 a piece so not too much but it definitely made the difference from me passing on them or me buying them
  15. Also they're very good at accepting best offers. I got my tail lights for $15 each than they were asking!

  19. I hope you took the tail lights too?
  20. Not a huge fan of them, I think they'd look great on a black XJ or MJ however the simple 6 spoke steels are still my favorite
  21. Put them on the shelf with the other five spare sets
  22. Ice blue 194 LEDS off ebay
  23. I had full gauges without a tach so it was plug and play for me. For you with idiot lights you need to swap your temp sensor and oil pressure sender, then it will be plug and play
