Just the speedometer. I have bought a few things from you

I need a speedometer for an 89MJ 4.0. Anyone have one for sale?

Out for a walk. Power plant at bottom of KSQ dam, previously known as the Kerr dam, on Flathead Lake.

Pic not taken by me neither is the comment. Anyone have a better one to go with the pic?

Intermittant Blower motor and A/C

I had the same thing happen. It would go out then come back on by itself. The mechanic who installed the ac finally removed the ac from the fuse block and put it on its own fuse. It might seem like a tea leaf solution but I never had that problem again. -
With learning that the rear window is both tempered and curved, I went to a auto glass shop to see what solution they might proffer. The shop owner said that there was no source for that glass but he had one that he took out of an MJ and had been holding it for 3 years. Lucky me. I had them install it at what I thought was a reasonable price. I am very satisfied to have a solid glass. The driver side glass was broken on the old one but the middle slider glass and the passenger side one were in good shape. I gave those and the frame to Pete. On my other MJ, someone here on the CC had a rear glass for sale. He had replaced his one piece with a slider. I bought the one piece from him. When harvesting parts at the junkyards, I would think the rear window is usually intact and good condition. Maybe those should be on a save list since they are not likely to be made again. I had ac installed in both MJs. The one piece is quieter and the tracks had gone to hell anyway.

I was hoping someone knew what you have expressed. How long does a charge last you? You would count on it to get you up a mountain?

Like the derailer going nuts when shifting? That might be the hardest thing for the bike mechanics to adjust.

I recently moved from Virginia Beach, VA right on the Atlantic ocean where the highest natural elevation is 88 feet above sea level. I would go for 25 to 30 mile bike rides regularly which is no big deal at all even at 73 years old. I did not have to die to find heaven in Montana and very much like it here. To the point: I probably will buy an electric bicycle. I want to be able to able to ride it with just pedal power but would like the motor assist to be ride up mountains. I understand that gasoline ones are better than electric but at the moment, I am thinking the quiet of electric is preferable. Does anyone have first hand experience with these?

Daeson, It is a reiteration for me to say, YOU DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR!, but I will say it anyway. As the crude expression goes: sometimes shizt happens. A car wreck, a heart attack, your house burns down, getting fired, and etc. Remember you are highly thought of here and everyone here is supportive. Sometimes guys internalize a job separation. Keep your head where you want it to be. Know that failing at something does NOT mean you are a failure. Sooner or later, everyone of us will face some unfortunate times. Keep us posted.

Congrats on living an alternate good life. You get my vote. Explain this pic. What is under the front tires?

If you have removed ac and are not replacing it, wouldn't a delete pully solve the problem? -

Your endeavors shouldn't be ignored, given the future of failing MJs. Keep up the good work. -
Thanks for living life as it should be lived. And thanks for doing it in a Jeep instead of a new F150. Life has many offerings just for the having. Should you be close to the south end of Flathead Lake, (Recently moved from the eastern edge of the continent, just a walk from the Atlantic Ocean.) give a shout and say hello. Your wife has camera presence and you already know that.

Thanks for raising the issue. Knowledge is power. You, as youth, are entrusted with our future. You get my vote.

I suppose it depends on your point of view. If you had some painted sheet metal that was named after you for others to go tearing through the mud with, you might have mixed feelings about it. A sister named her dog after me. How was I to process that? Although I am not American Indian, I have recently moved to a town on an Indian reservation and look forward to seeing what life has to offer in Montana. Ethnocentrism. "evaluation of other cultures according to preconceptions originating in the standards and customs of one's own cultures." But a lot of what is going on strikes me as repainting history. Ain't life grand.

I moved 2600 miles and left two MJs behind with a friend until I decide if I am going to sell them. NW Montana is not vehicle friendly. The friend was driving the 89 MJ, 4.0, 5 speed. As he was turning onto a different road, he heard a noise and then a pop. The gas Guage didn't work after that. The engine continues to run ok. The fuel pump was replaced a couple of years ago. Does anyone have any ideas what happened?

I am impressed that you put your knowhow and focus to extending the life of failing MJ parts as those are bound to fail as time passes. Kudos to you. The future of MJs depends on youthful forward thinkers like you.
