    If I get the 5.5 inch alexia lift should I get a SYE? Also where do I get shims for setting pinion angle? And do I need a T case drop? Thanks

    Just got the ruff stuff simple swap lot and I got the spring perches all measured out but do I do the same with the shock mounts? Should they just be level with the bottom of the tube? Thanks

    That's really nice looking. I was thinking of just modding the nates 4x4 bumper, but it would be cheaper to just make my own

    So you built that all yourself? I'm wanting to make something exactly like that. What gauge steel did you use? And did you make that tire carrier or did you buy that?

    So i want to get or make a rear bumper that looks like this, http://www.nates4x4.com/Comanche_Rear_Bumper_p/mjr.htm, but the thing i really want to do is add some extensions to the rear bumper that protects the quarter panels. (i got a long bed so i know and have seen how smashed up they get from coming down on stuff). I'm not really sure what/how to do this and i am just starting to weld.     So i can either shim it or pull the axle out and weld them on them to get correct angle. I would like to have the thing ready when i put it in so i would it be ok to just weld the perches on right even at the top and then just shim the angles i need? any disadvantage to shims?

    How do I determine spring perch angle? Or can I just put them on straight up and down and adjust pinion later when I actually swap it in? I've tried researching it but there no straight forward answers

    What's the advantage of having just drop brackets?

    Not putting the price into it, but adj upper and lower control arms are better then drop brackets in every way right?

    Yes, i know this has been talked about 1000 times everywhere. it is a dead horse, that has been be at and beat and beat. Yes i looked around a lot, but i still am confused. I can't find any exact set ups that answer my questions. So I'm going SOA in the back. I know what to do there, new shocks, spring perches........ but I am confused about the front. I'm not really sure if i know everything thats needed to do front end up to the same height as the back. I know SOA will give me 6inches about, after i take out my old 3 inch lift shackles, but what do i need for the front? I found alexia's kit, but a lot of the parts are no existent on the websites he posted. I know i need springs, shocks, control arm drop bracket or long arms, new track bar, brake lines. Is that it? any recommendations? thanks y'all, and sorry for all the posts.

    Also another thing I didn't notice until more research tonight was the spring perch angle? How do I know what angle to put it at? I wanna go SOA 6 inch probably so what does that change? Thanks

    Will I need new shocks if I go SOA for the back?And what about the parking brake cable from the 8.8? Will it fit to the comanche one?

    My seat belts don't work and my dad wants me to seats with headrests. Should I go with the Dakota seats? Is there anything better? I think I could make those brackets.

    No but I'll get one. I won't be doing this for another month or so cause I'm cleaned out on cash And I think I might get my own welder eventually this summer once I start work again
