  1. if anything goes in the back it'll be a full length AAL, that would help the sagging issue

  3. if i were to go with pucks up front, i would buy them alone. those shackles will do next to nothing on an mj
  4. thank you sir  , i'll check the relay first since thats a whole lot easier

  6. after looking under every search i could think of i couldn't find what i needed. my 89 4.0 ba10/5 suddenly won't crank. it started fine, then 10 minutes later suddenly won't even crank, all power is there. Figured it was the starter, but that checked out to be good. any ideas :help:
  7. i considered running it stock, or just leveled out. like i said this isn't going to happen right away, just looking for some ideas. the plans are still coming together in the ol' dome
  8. Just getting a game plan for the 89 build project. I'm looking for just a mild lift at the moment. 3" is what i'm shooting for with some 31's. I'm looking to see how people feel about using aftermarket parts up front i.e. control arms. Motion has a 3" kit with just coils, AAL an hardware for 300 benjamins, not too bad. I'm looking to keep the ride as close to stock as possible. Would you recommend a new track bar or adjustable control arms with 3 inches of lift? Any input is appreciated
  9. nah, he lives about a half hour south of me. pretty clean looking truck though

  11. i've got a kid looking at my 92. he's got an 88 or 89 SWB 2wd pioneer. Not sure if he's going to sell it but i can find out an let you know
  12. definitely get them, you can get 2 or 4 door XJ buckets, and swap them onto the brackets. Its not a very hard process. 2 door buckets are more desirable because they tilt forward  viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8093
  13. no pics, we get in trouble for that sometimes  . No injuries at the scene. I was just curious seeing as i figured there was a pretty good chance it was someone from here
  14. Went to a motor vehicle collision yesterday, involving a dark red comanche with CT plates and a ford ranger. Needless to say the MJ won, no injuries on scene. was wondering if it was anyone on here?
  15. i'm with pete, strong axles are a good start. I would say a at least one locker, 2 would be better. Then it depends on what your doing with it. Rocks= armor, mud= nasty tires
  16. o yea, i know  , this weekend when i have time i'll pull it all out
  17. Still want one of these  An i count the eagle in this too, its a 4x4
  18. as far as i know, mechanically 2 dr an 4 dr XJ's are the same. Doors won't work, but most everything else should

  21. Got a little work done today. Washed a lot of the mud of the undercarriage, and found a lot of the factory undercoating still on the frame Also put on a set 97+ mirrors. It was a quick, simple upgrade. Much better than the old mirrors.
  22. it wouldn't need to be burped, its an open cooling system. 220 doesn't really scare me, i run close to that all the time
  23. believe me i don't want to, but i needed something more highway friendly. i'm working on getting a firefighting job in VA an i'm going down there pretty much every month from now till march
