What mirrors are you running
Myron replied to 91coMANche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Personally I think the newer style mirrors look weird unless you've swapped the front end and doors as well. -
Congratulations. Are you going for your palms?

Great minds think alike  And I fgured more people would better understand that than "protected by Taurus, Smith, and Ruger" lol

You guys are lucky, mine had one for an S-10 that din't fit anywhere near right. And now the tan lines to prove it lol. -
But I finally got my CC sticker on the truck. Image Not Found Sorry it's so dark, I wil get a daytime picture if anybody wants one

So I've been wondering why the back of my seat was so tore up ever since I got my truck, and also why when I have to suddenly stop I hear a thud, Well it turns out my rear window isn't sealed at the top. I was backing up a couple days ago and my arm got soaked so I pressed the window and it moved about an inch. I covered my carton of camels with an old hardhat but I think sealing the window would be a better solution for my truck (and my extra cigarettes). What's the beat way or should I take it to a glass shop?

I've used it in every vehicle I've owned. Pour it in the vacuum line coming off the brake booster (Or stick the line in the bottle and let it suck it in). I wait until the vehicle is warm and don't turn the it off after it's sucked the can dry, just let it run and/or drive it until it stops smoking. It may be my mind plaing tricks on me but everything seems peppier after it stops smoking.

Your local scrap yard would take it and give you money! Or you could call one of those "we buy junk car" places and they would also give you money for it, just not as much.
-
My understanding is it adjusts brake bias more to the rear according to how much load is on the rear of the truck. When you push down on the back of the truck, a little lever on the dff cover presses it up, letting it know you need more stopping power in the rear when you otherwise wouldn't. As to what it's called I have no idea.

:hmm: Well at least they haven't took over.

I'm glad to see this place is still here and hasn't been taken over by idiots. It's happened to most good forums I've been on.

Trying to get my old username figured out (Myron) but I just made a new account. It's been a while since the last time I got on here. And I've missed it. Just wanted to say hello, I know it's been way too long.

A little I've learned about them in the last week. Rhino liner used to be (and still is some places) a cold spray and from what I can understand is the weakest available. Rhino now has a hot spray that they use for all their products. They also have hardline, a harder liner that is more scratch resistant and has a cottage cheese type texture, not the grippy stuff like most spray-ins. Line X has always had hot spray and they have a new liner out they call XTRA. It has Dupont Kevlar? in it which they claim is up to five times stronger than steel. and it's the grippy stuff I'm used to seeing in bedliners. It also comes in colors. I'm not sure if the new Rhino does or not. But they both come with a nationwide warranty for as long as YOU own your truck. Does anyone on here have either of the two or know someone that does? Also Line X has this thing called ReNew that restores your existing spray in liner and and fills in light rough patches for you guys that have one but it's faded or boogered up a little.

Congrats man. We had our first little girl almost 8 mos ago.

Looking to get a spray in liner. Who makes the best? I need one that will take a beating and I want the best for my money. Thanks.

There's a pull a part in North, South, & East ATL, one in Agusta,GA, one in Birmingham, AL and one Montgomery,AL. Last time I got an axle from there it was $165ish. Last time I was there (Birmingham,AL) I saw an FSJ with a front 44 and ten or so XJ's with everything on the axles still intact.

Try Advance Auto Parts, O'Reiley Auto Parts, or Autozone. I prefer Advance, but any of them should either have it in stock or be able to get it usually in 1 business day by 9AM.

XJ wagoneer has D44's? Or are you talking about the FSJ waggy?

Adjustable MJ Load Sensing Valve
Myron replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
Found one today. My friend just happend to have it sitting around. Don't know if it works or not. Brake line was kinked going to my old one right at the end. Hopefully I'll have it on tomorrow. Have everything but the hardware this replaces lol. -
Soak whatever won't come loose in PB blaster. If it doesn't work the first time keep on for days. It should eventually break it loose. Also now that you have your rears off you could try to drive the Jeep forward or backwards to break the fronts free, there is less holding it back now. If you have 4x4 I would try using that as well.

Do all Comanche's have this? There's nothing that even looks like that under mine. But my rears lock up way before my fronts do. Could I get one from the parts store or JY off a Cherokee? -
I converted a dicso front end to a non dicso like 2 weeks ago for a friend of mine. It was as easy as changing oil. I think he got the "kit" from rusty's(like $10). All that was in it was a seal for the pumpkin (to keep gear dope from giong down the tube anymore) and a block off plate. Put a TJ axle in it and no more vaccum problem. Unless you want the light. I can attempt a writeup if it would help.
