  1. Well received the REM today. Plugged it in an WOW is all I can say. This little thing puts out a lot of information. Still trying to decipher what it’s telling me, but based on the initial readings it looks like I have vacuum issues, running lean, possibly a bad O2 sensor. MAP and TPS readings on the REM are with-in tolerances. I tried to take some pics of the readings and error codes, but the pics are unreadable.
  2. Yes sir. Although after correctly installed I was unable to get a output reading above .34 with a 4.56 reference it should be .744. I was able to drive her around the country block about 1.5 miles. Shifting is still a bit sluggish but that should improve with driving time since I have replaced the trans cooler lines and I am in the middle of first round (drain/refill) with fresh trans fluid. Almost time to move on to brake overhaul. She kind of stops, it’s a good thing I have country roads to test drive on.
  3. Made a little adjustment and idle is very good now. 63605435648__9223F77A-3865-49E9-98E8-CC8048C8021B.MOV
  4. (Old TPS and CPS) Output Numbers are still off but not as bad and the rough idle/stumbling/backfire seems to be gone. Idle is high, but hopefully the new CPS and TPS will help with that.
  5. Pics wrong: Correct: the arm needs to go under the lever on the Throttle body (duh)......
  6. Okay I can admit when I am wrong, turns out I did not reinstall the TPS correctly. I thought I had the arm under the throttle body lever but did not. Will be correcting that today and see what we have.
  7. Pic of brush guard:
  8. These were only an hour from me. They only lasted on Market Place for 3 hours. I think the green one has a OEM rear bumper. I was ten minutes late with my inquiry.
  9. Took me less than 5 mins and maybe 4 clicks on RockAuto site to find the replacements and one call to local parts store to get the trans side fittings with clips.
  10. I appreciate the insight. It is installed correctly to my knowledge. We will see how things go once I get the new TPS and the new CPS installed. Hopefully I can get this done over the weekend.
  11. New one came in this afternoon. Hope to get it put on tomorrow. After I finish sorting out the $kit show the PO made of the trans cooler lines.
  12. No words necessary...enjoy the pics. This is why I am replacing the trans cooler lines....
  13. @cruiser54@Went back to the beginning. Measured for grounds not seeing anything of note. TPS flat A-B 4.38 x.17 = .74 C-B .06 is the highest I can get adjusting TPS I also pulled the coil and refreshed the contacts along with redoing the splice on green with white stripe two to one wires. Battery cables are both nearly new no signs of corrosion.
  14. Yep conducted this test and all looked good.
  15. I know it’s probably blasphemy but I knocked the chrome off the old front brush guard today. Primed her up with some self etching primer and then shot it with Satin black 2x Rustolem and forgot to take a pic before it got dark. So you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see it. Still a ways off from mounting it, but after chasing the rough idle and poorly shifting trans issues it just feels good to accomplish something.
  16. I did both the three prong flat and the square as not only do I have the idle issues but also the auto trans shifting issues. I will go back over it tomorrow and post my results. I also have already tip #6, but I will go back and look at the connection again. On a happier note my electric fan works and comes on when the engine reaches temp. Still a long way to go, but moving forward. Get this sorted and then it’s on to brakes.
  17. Yes sir I’ve done both, waiting on deliver of the new tps and will start all over again. I at first you don’t succeed try and try again.
  18. See above post forgot to quote you.
  19. The 4 plug square A and D 4.56, B and D 1.25. On the truck harness side. Good news is my backfire condition seems to have resolved. Thinking maybe that was some trash or bad/old gas. As I finally had to put some more new gas in today. Hope to get the REM from @NickInTimeFilmsin a day or so, received shipping info last night.
  20. Tested CPS and I getting no reading at all. (So much for new being good). Have a new one ordered through NAPA. Tested sensor grounds no problems found. Tried again to set TPS (my reference is 4.56 x .83 = 3.78 output) all I can get out of the TPS is 1.26. So I also have a genuine Mopar TPS ordered. While trouble shooting I decided to pull the plugs and see how they looked. These were put in after I got the truck and maybe have an hour of mostly idle run time on them. Front three looked like this: Cylinder # 4 looked like this: 5 and 6: Checked injector electrical connections and believe #4 was not making good contact. Reseated and idle seemed to smooth out. Checked all injector electrical connections and ensured they were seated good. Am I missing anything else?
  21. Can’t remember all the specific numbers, but I’ve refreshed all the grounds. The splice for power to fuel pump relay, #6 just the other day and the idle got better. was just looking at the permeate fuel gauge install. Need to get the parts for that. I don’t have a fuel pressure gauge tester. I’ll be checking to see if I can rent one from a parts store.
  22. As a person with no Native American heritage, but being a bit of a history buff. I can’t believe the world we are in now. Waiting until Polaris is told to stop using the Indian name for their motorcycle line.
  23. Not to deep, but deep enough. one thing I’ve learned is you can’t have enough spare parts for these trucks.
  24. Looks like congratulations are in order and maybe a toast!
