    Thanks!
  2. The buckets and all of he interior are going in my 87 and the bench and interior from it going into the 86.
  3. That’s strange since the honey is in the 86 XLS, but I like it better than the regular tan. Also think it will look really good with the darker brown carpet I got from ACC for the 87.
  4. Once I get the details figured out I’ll put it in a separate thread on the DYI section.
  5. So I know there are multiple interior colors: black, blue, burgundy, tan, grey. My question is are there two shades of the tan, one more honey colored or is what I am seeing as a difference between the 86 and 87 tan just sun fade? They sure seem to be two distinctly different colors. Top photo is 86 bottom 87.
  6. Brown Santa came a little late but new floor pans are here. Also bought an 86 XLS that will give up most of its interior to the 87.
  7. After sleeping on it I am siding with you and will likely leave the cargo light where it’s at. I am thinking some leds for the 87 similar to what Ford has done with the F150 inside the bed.

1986 originally 2.8 Auto 4x4 LWB (swapped 3.4), XLS Trim, exterior color tan/brown, interior Honey. Will be a project as soon as I am done with the 87 Pioneer. It is now and NW Florida truck. And yes that’s a original rear bumper, it is bent but not terrible.
  9. My daily until I get the 87 Pioneer squared away.
  10. Few more pics, also has a bed full of assorted parts and pieces along with a original 3 pane rear slider with gasket. That along with the cargo light will go into the 87.
  11. So long story, but I’ll be brief as possible. Back when I had my 89 I had an old friend that tried to sell me an 86 XLS LWB 2.8 auto 4x4. Well 6 ish years later I bought the 86, it’s a bit rougher looking outside than it was then and has had a 3.4 swapped in but not finished. It’s a complete truck though and will be a partial donor for the 87 4.0 Pioneer I am building. Mostly the interior since the XLS has buckets. Once all the interior swapping is done and I get the Pioneer completed enough to be a daily driver. I’ll focus on getting the 3.4 swap completed and decide exactly where the XLS build will go. Initial thoughts are to keep it looking basically stock with a bench seat interior. ill get it added to the registry soon.
  12. Pretty sure the poorly sealing vent window are the Marjorie culprit along with the need for new windshield and door gaskets.
  13. Sounds good. I’ll pm you.
  14. Looking for a Comfort Control dash rocker switch. thanks in advance! Carl
  15. Well got most of the interior out and not surprised, time for new floor-pans. This one is a little worse than the 89 I did a few years ago. Good news is I haven’t found any other rust through only surface rust. Also having issues with getting it to start without starter fluid. Have begun cruisers list and cleaning all the electrical connections. Will have to fabricate new seat mounts as two pulled out of the floor and one of them had to be cut off.
  16. Looking for a drivers side vent window w/frame and window guide. (smokers window)

1987 4.0 Renix Auto Trans 4x4 Pioneer SWB tilt wheel column shift bench seat title says it’s Blue, tan interior. I purchased this on Christmas Eve 2020. It will reside in the Florida Panhandle (Mossy Head).
  20. Yep I noticed the grill being upside down also. Column shift auto with tilt. Pretty sure it’s a true Pioneer trim. I’ll get it in the registry.
  21. Will be bringing it home Saturday so this pic will have to do for now.
  22. I’ve been missing in action for a while. Some my remember my 89 2wd Slow Build, that’s the one that got away when someone offered me stupid money for it. Well I am back in the MJ world. Picked up an all original body and interior 87 4.0 4x4 auto short bed today. Well at least I have the title and keys. Will be picking it up Saturday. Planning a DD build with a few extras. Truck runs pretty well, needs some love on the interior and paint. I am pretty sure I’ll be doing both floor pans and will need some seat mounts. Body is really straight and seems to be solid except for the floor pans. Electrical is in need of some TLC. Maybe some one can tell me how rare the factory/OEM tilt steering column is?
  23. That kept me from getting one and helped me save some money too. Up until a month ago the closest dealer was 250 miles away, but they opened one 10 mins from my house in May. Good bye savings account....
  24. 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse.... :)
