That's a good idea as well if you don't have access to a welder! -

Sorry I've been away from home but the washer was a 3/4 inch washer if I remember correctly and the two bolts were 1/2 inch cut down to an inch long and welded on each side -
I live about 3 hours from Ft. Leonard Wood MO. I. Leave for MCT tomorrow at 7 and won't have my phone or jeep :(. But then I'm at Ft. Leonard Wood for 6 weeks for motor T training so I'll be able to drive my jeep there since its so close to home.

Here's a tool that I made to avoid the 20 mile trip to the parts store. I used the factory shaft bolt that holds the wheel on and a washer and 2 studs. I also don't weld that bad this was just a quick little project to get my ignition cylinder changed out. Hope I helped, I'm sure it can be made out of different materials as well.

2.8 to 3.4..... AGAIN!
Jacob Ochs replied to Jacob Ochs's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
what exactly is TBI? And how could I run it?? -
So here were my plans put a 5.0 in the jeep, well things didn't work out, yada yada yada. And after a lot of time to think the 3.4 route is my best option to replace the 2.8! So in 2 weeks I'm heading to a friends to pick up a 3.4 out of a 94 firebird! I am planning on keeping the SFI an ditching the carb and really need to know how I can make the fuel injection work! I've been searching all over and can not find it! Also I would like to know anything I need to pull from the car to keep the Fuel injection and where it's located! As always thanks!:)

Talked to other recruits around the area and apparently the STL station is undergoing staff changes and that's why everyone's getting held back! Also I got 2 buddies of mine who had no plans after graduation to sign up and it ranked me up! So not so bad after all. Just thought I would give a update! Thanks for the support guys

Silly interior question
Jacob Ochs replied to Jacob Ochs's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
^^ This. Stick a small flat blade screwdriver on the top of the vent between the vent itself and the bezel. Gently push the vent pin tab down while pulling the vent out at the top. Once the top pin clears the bezel, lift the vent up and out. I finished cleaning today! Not before I dropped a small vent clip down the vent hole:( took an Hour to get out! -
Silly interior question
Jacob Ochs replied to Jacob Ochs's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks so much! -
So my question is how to take the vents out of the dash so I can clean them better, I don't want to break them and want to know the proper way to remove them. That is all! Thanks! :)
