Nice Work, but I have a question what is that linkage that comes down from the frame and attaches to the axle for? Does anyone know? -

Steering Box Frame Plating
JoeLAW replied to Project Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well I was dumb enough to not take pictures at the time, I don't think I was even a Member of CC, but I remember it was cracked around the frame starting from the lower steering box bolt all the way under to the other side, and also on the upper bolt on the inside of the frame through the top That's the best picture I took when my friend was welding it And here are some pics of the re-inforcement that we did or external plating Hope this Helps -

Renix To Ho Intake Manifold Swap Questions
JoeLAW replied to JoeLAW's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Awesome Thank you so much for your Reply! onlyinajeep726 so Basically all the fuel rails from 91-95 have the FPR(Fuel Pressure Regulator) and both a supply and return port? And also is the mounting pattern for the fuel rail the same for all the HO intakes until it changed again on the '99+? Basically I just want to make sure I can get a 91-95 fuel rail and mount it on my 96 HO intake.- 8 replies

Hey guys so as some of you have checked out my build thread, I have an '06 engine of a TJ on my MJ, and the PO either did not want to struggle with adapting and finding stuff for keeping the HO intake manifold, or (what I think happened) he probably bought a wrecked/salvaged TJ and the original manifold was probably cracked so he just installed the old renix on it to get it running. Anyways, I already got me a new set of Headers, and the HO intake manifold and of-course bolted right on, but the only doubt I have is that on the old Renix fuel rails it had what I think is a Fuel Pressure Regulator, and a Return Line? Anyways when I got the new fuel rail and Injectors ( :brows: score! for $19.00) at the JY it only has one port, or entry instead of two, as the old Renix fuel rails do. So Basically my question is, do both fuel lines that come from the gas tank spit out fuel? if that was the case could I just cancel out one? or What should I do? Anyways those are my doubts, any Help is Greatly Appreciated! PS: I know I've been slacking a lot on wrenching on my truck and posting on my thread so please forgive me and give me $#!& about it so I can get back at it my friends here haven't stopped but Ill take any sort of motivation over no motivation at all! haha Oh and don't feel bad for talking smack! hahaha

Steering Box Frame Plating
JoeLAW replied to Project Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had the same problem with my MJ, and my frame was totally cracked, so a friend of mine helped me fix it and reinforce it and DW did go away for about a week and then it came back, and could never get rid of it. Then I parked her and started buying all the parts that I wanted to buy for her in the first place so please keep us posted as I am very very interested in the way this is going. -
What bleeping Jeep did there is definitively a cool simple way to mod your intake, but even if you do that your Renix Throttle body still has a very small diameter that restricts the airflow, so that means that the air is being funneled into the intake manifold, I think it's just better to go to the JY and get a HO intake manifold and TB and swap it. Anyways I'm interested in how the snorkel turns out so keep us posted!

Comanche Rear Sway Bar, Long Box
JoeLAW replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
Nope not at all, I'm not surprised though since the PO did not make/install everything he did to the truck the way its supposed to be, since he runs a body shop all he cared about was looks... I'll snap a few pics today and try to post em tonight -
Thats awesome and which ones are those?

Sounds like a plan daking!

Well I bought I think about 8ft of those China LED strips, with the 3M adhesive as dankicksass said, that I plan on using for rock lights, and maybe interior lighting. But on a recent trip to a local Auto Supply Store business show, I spoke with the Truxedo reps, and they showed me a badass setup that I absolutely loved, and it's called the B-Light battery powered, which basically was designed for the under the rails on the bed. here's the link http://www.truxedo.com/b-light/battery-powered.php And that's what I'm planning on doing for the bed of my truck.

Anyways Tuesday I was determined to put the radiator and hoses in, so after a quick google search on how to clean the cooling system out of a car, I decided to just spray water from the thermostat till it cam out clear, and then clean it out afterwards. Since the engine needs to run for a while to heat up and get all the gunk out of the system. Anyways here are the pics.. Eew dirty @$$ water! :ack: I was just spraying water directly from my garden hose That's how it was coming out, from the water pump, I just put the old radiator hose I had and aimed it down towards the bucket in order for me to save the water, or well at least throw it in the lawn instead of the street. Dirty.. I also cleaned the heater core, which wasn't as dirty as the block, it only took about 3-4 flushes to clean out, and this is what came out Took out the old radiator to compare it side by side against the new one Man what a difference  Anyways, this is pretty much where I left of on Tuesday, later on that day the old man, started helping me out by designing and fabricating the mounts for the tranny cooler, and I decided to run both the new one and the stock one, instead of running the stock one for the Power Steering. Hopefully Ill do some more wrenching later on today, and snap a few more pics.

So after mounting that, I was pretty beat, and just started conecting back the battery cables, and routing cables better, but then I got a little sidetracked, and decided to snap a few pics of the Frame repair/reinforcing me and my buddy did around the steering box.. PIcs: I spot a .22 shell, good times.. My buddy has a bunch of experience and that came out badass! I am super happy with the results!!!

Well funny story in between, if you're subscribed to "Four Wheeler" mag, which I was you probably noticed that all of a sudden the magazine started going south real fast in a matter of 2-3 prints, with stupid articles of Tractor tires for your mud rig (that's what "Mud Life" is there for), and Zombie Apocalypse preparation which I think is :bs: but hey to each their own. Anyways a couple of weeks ago, they posted an article which was named "Tempting Ten" and talked about the Top 10 off road capable or package trucks in the last 10 yrs, and I noticed they didn't put the Toyota Tacoma, which I think is a very capable little truck, specially off-road, so this was basically the tip of the iceberg for me, and sent 'em a letter ranting about the article... Anyways the other day the new print came in and I opened it and started reading it, and then noticed that they actually published my letter! I was excited as I was not expecting it at all and it was actually the first time I wrote to a magazine. So before I keep going out of track here are the pics: This is the newest Issue And here's the letter I wrote them and yes I know :offtopic: but I thought it was cool
