i think the floors are bad in this one so ill get practice replacing them so i can do it better on the resto prokects. we are allowed to modify and repair and build frames in nb a guy just got his half ton chevy inspected wirth a completly home built frame on itt a month or 2 ago.

well not a febuary deadline but sometime in a little bit . thhe other truck I'm working on is gunna take me along time to finish. the money issue is n prob either all ill need to buy id welding wire ive got evrything else i need.

ive got a good one but i need a vehicle soon and the other one is in a million pieces in my yard and I'm hoping to convert it to 4wd and 4.0. but i want a truck for febuary so i want to fix this one. this truck here has good shocks springs, half decent breaks and just needs rust repair and break lines. oh and my cash situation what cash?

yea I'm thinking of actually cutting it off at the cab and making a new frame out of square tube. i think i could do it

me and dad have been looking at this truck i own it so we don't have to pay for it but the frame is completly shot from the cab back so i was wondering how hard it would be to cut it off behind the cab and start over with heavy square tube? anyone ever tried this.

opps forgot your in the states in canada parts are stupidly expensive

my new plan is to cut the frame off behind the cab and start runnin a new frame from square tube. the front of the frame is nowheres near as bad as the back. but were not sure yet it may still end up donating the engine and mabye a rear end to the rest project

yea we have inspections but tey allow frame repair. also I'm looking at picking up a -97 kj that was roller .4.0 5 speed 4x4 and might get it for free. so if i get that my avatar will be turning into a 4x4 4.0 the way i wanted it in the first place.

you could probably drive it a bit to test it after an hour but don't take it very far for 24 :thumbsup:

a new alternator is like 300 $ id rebuild you old one it only cost like 50 bucks and isnt to hard just goo to advance or whereve and get an alternator rebuild kit shouldnt be too expensive

ive heared yuo get about an inch inch and a half out of zj coils but pete or eagle will answer you better

hey comon everuyone should come to canada weve got trucks rust a few girls and lots of trees mud and in the winter snow...

well that idea died fast ....... i just crwled under to look at what i need to do to fix the frame and found a gaping hole on the right hand side by the break.. probably why it broke . and i found that the frame has major damage around the bumpstops soo its back to being parts. pics : rust she back to being a donor now .
