well thats my back up plan if the frame repair stuff doesnt pass inspection . but as ive said I'm planning on spending quite abit of time on it because the other truck needs everything replcaed. i m ay also out my 4.0 in it as it has no home. I'm going to keep the flat stick but i am going to smooth the woeds tomorrow then go bcak over thm with my welder on max heat just so I'm sure i get penetration. i went low on the heat today as i was afraid of burning through .and thats why my weld look like crap. oh and another thing about the other one . its frame need abit of work too just not as much as thid .and the florrs are much worse bad enuf that i need to repair the frame so if nothing else I'm practicing for the other one. -

and ive since looked at my welding and i think i will clean thema up abit and start redoing it but the final judge of my job will be the safty inspection but i believe i can make it good. i clean up my welds then go over at a higher heat, and I'm going to go crazy with the amount of metal in going to put around the breaks. i want your respect and advice. -

thep plates are permentent but I'm gonna replate around them rith heavy steel in essence I'm building a new frame around the old frame one which is stronger than what was there stock. the plates taht are in i think i might plate over with some of my 1/8 ince steel .the bed is coming off i just wanted to make the frame strong enuf to suppourt itself without the box first. and I'm going to try my best to have as few as possible vertical welds. but I'm also getting help from my dad who has done this stuff before so i think it will turn out good. -

freakjeep93 replied to STERLING STINGER's topic in The Pub
why do you say that....thats a bigger truck and motor.....what its built weak or something? the mj has boxed frame tons of opewer for its size 4wd tats strong for its size and can go WAY more places stock then a modified ram 3500 could go. -
i hate you its -7 celcius here and was -17 the other day jk i don't hate you
-
a little bit warmer today only -13 winchill but no wind  so its only gonna be - 7 outside

But if you're talking XJs (which we were), the NVG 3550 wasn't used until the 2000 model year. And Jeep only made an extremely limited run of the 5-speeds at the very end of the 2000 production run. I have one. According to my dealer, it's the only 5-speed 4.0L Cherokee in all of New England. It was on order for something like 8 or 9 months. The factory kept delaying production, I think hoping that those of us who had them on order would get tired of waiting and cancel the orders. Some of us held out, though, and I finally got my 2000 XJ 5-speed. So for Cherokees, the AX-15 is found in late 89 through 1999 Cherokees. But the early ones still had the infernal slave cylinder. Best choice, if you have a choice, is 1994 through 1999 so you get the external slave. However ... free is a very good price -- if it runs. There's gotta be a reason why it was abandoned. ones is abandoned because it did about 5 barrel rolls down the highway and te guy who was gunna fix it died. the other wsa abandoned because the PO were the type of ppl wo bought a 500$ car ran it untill it woudnt pass inspection then drove it into the woods and left it there. in th ewood behind their old place there is a xi a 4 door land cruiser and a dodge k car -
yea..... but I'm gunna be working with the armed forces (reserves) soon probably after christmas holidays

okay just sayin shes kinda tall on one end and low rider on the other -
mines only 2wd yea the fwd gears work and rev works some of the time just when its cold it dies. this could be a result of it having no trans fluin in it when i got it . also there is no gaurd wunder the flywheel its just open... and the guy who gave it too me still hasnt signed the reggi to me and won't untill i plate the frame and completly rebuild it
