  1. I've been lazy at updating this thread again.. But, I have been less lazy working on the truck! Here's me fixing my non-adjusted drums on the XJ, while the MJ looks on in jealousy. Now me and my newly made friend start to get the floor fixed. He just came over to buy some Jeep parts and much bull$#!&ting later, now he's helping me put my floor in. (Gotta love fellow Jeepers!) Driver's side, not too bad. Passenger side is a bit worse.. Now to acquire some sheet metal. Hmm, Hey Dad, can I borrow the roof from you old Buick out back? (Note, the Buick's hood was already taken to help repair the cargo area floor in the aforementioned XJ) The victim.. First cut (only mild fire on inside of car..) Scalping complete.. "One dies so another shall live" - somebody wise Now with the sheet metal in hand, the real work begins!
  2. You should be able to check the wires condition by using a Multimeter to see if the volts drop from one side of the cable to the other.
  3. I may of had that issue too.. but my EGR tube was stripped so I just plugged it.
  4. I need the tail housing off a 231 transfer case, the part where the speedo goes. I need one somewhat urgently..
  5. Anybody have a spare renix era output tail housing?
  6. Yes, otherwise I'd just be a fool for mentioning it. lol Do you happen to have anything interesting to trade?
  7. I have one in the garage somewhere since I added a cigar lighter to my dash.
  8. Ha, I'm surprised you haven't already pulled it just to have one!
  9. Are the tail shaft cones the same for all 231 transfer cases? My friend has a newer one from an auto. If not, where can I get one?
  10. I was changing my speedo cable earlier and noticed this, and maybe one more ring loose in the tail of the transfer case.. So what is it, How bad is it to drive like this, and how hard is it to fix? Thanks
  11. What year is yours?
  12. Thanks, I managed to find it on there. It was only listed under Cherokee of course..
  13. Could you look in your Amazon history and post the link? I searched everywhere and they all said they weren't carried anymore. Also, is yours 4wd?
  14. The only cable I can find anywhere is this PIONEER Part # CA3068 and I can't find any info on it regarding length or ends.
  15. I just managed to find the advance part # and they can no longer get it..
  16. I was swapping my cluster to one that has an accurate tach and in the process, I snapped my speedo cable.. Now I've been trying to find exactly which length cable I need to see if advance has one that fits but, I have had no luck. every part that says it fits is a different length. I'm trying to get the truck inspected on Wednesday so a parts store would be ideal, but any part numbers or at least the length would be very helpful to me. The truck is an 89 4WD without cruise by the way.

    "custom" Badges

Yeah, I've made him an offer of a bit less for them. Though since their NOS, I would want to wait to put them on until I got my truck painted.
  18. I have a idiot light only cluster and a every gauge but the tach cluster if you're still interested.

    '86 Emblems

Well if you or anyone else finds a pair, let me know.
  21. That is the one my friend has so I can't look at it. The one where the tach was just bouncing when he hooked it up.
  22. The first picture is of the back of the tach.
  23. Ha, well that's not helpful!
  24. I'm not surprised you would. lol So, how can I tell them apart just from looking at them?
  25. I had the guy who had it throw it in his 4.0 MJ and he said the tach was just bouncing. I put a full cluster in mine but the tach reads double and neither have an adjustable tach.
