  1. I also didn't know they used the same leaf spring bolt as the Cherokees. That makes things a lot easier.
  2. Unfortunately there are no Junkyards near me to snag them. I'll just pick them up new somewhwere.
  3. Yeah, that amount of lift is perfect for me. So they come with centering pins too? That's great. I like that they don't skimp on giving things like that and bushings.
  4. After realizing my springs sagged pathetically with a only a few hundred pounds in the bed, I decided that I really needed new springs. This plan has now been expedited since I somehow managed to break one of the support leafs.. So today I finally had time to give General Springs a call and got a discount on their best leafs. I'm so excited to get these installed now! Link: http://www.generalspringkc.com/Leaf_Springs_Jeep_Comanche_s/1954.htm Anyone have tips for installation? I've put new leafs in a Cherokee before, but not a Comanche. I just finished a rear 8.8 swap so the ubolts and such are all new. Should I expect to replace the leaf bolts? and if so, what are their dimensions?
  5. How much better is it shifting the trans with that shifter?
  6. Anyone know if this deal still exists? I tried emailing them to no avail.
  7. It's only $202.50 shipped right now.. I should just hit the "buy it now" when I had the chance.
  8. Bid placed.. I'm very tempted to just buy them outright though..
  9. Well I'd hope there would be some difference going from 52mm to 60mm. lol I emailed him too. I hope he starts up with hear again.
  10. That would be ideal.
  11. Oh, ok. I thought they had discontinued them or something. I was looking at General Spring as well but the only seem to have OEM and MT springs. Do their MT springs give any lift? If anyone happens to have them.
  12. I was looking into this recently too. I looked on the Hells Creek website and found nothing for the Comanche. Can someone post a link? Also, do they or anyone else sell rear 3" Metric Ton capacity springs? Because that's mainly what I'm looking for.
  13. Yeah, this is what's keeping me from doing this swap. I can't get rid of my sweet black door panels.
  14. Ha, I can't read today. I haven't much sleep since I stayed up late and then got up early to finish the swap. The. I spent the rest of the weekend moving out.
  15. Ah, I forgot the most obvious difference with Comanche, LWB and SWB. Mines a long bed which is why it needed to be longer than those.
  16. That's great! And if leaving the cable off is good enough for you, it's good enough for me. Thanks for your help guys!
  17. Oh.. I see it now, that picture didn't come up for me before. Will using that adapter work without a spring like shown in the picture? I thought it needed the spring to full release the brake.
  18. The stock MJ cables have the wrong end for my 8.8 with disks. I tried rigging it up but it doesn't work right.
  19. I'm talking about ZJ cables being basically the same length left to right, to use them on a Comanche with an 8.8. Out of curiosity, what length are the stock cables suppose to be?
  20. I had to order two driver side cable because they can't even get the passenger side. Also, according to their descriptions, the difference in length is only .03"
  21. Oh, really? I heard those worked for Cherokees but wasn't sure if the Comanche needed something different. Thanks, I'll try I out.
  22. Hi all, I just finished my 8.8 swap with the rear disks. I have everything else working aside from the parking brake which, I would really like to have since its a manual.. My question is, do any of you know of a direct fit replacement parking brake cable that will work for this? https://vimeo.com/109349196
  23. I think I have one. Do you have anything else to trade?
  24. Hmm.. That's not too far. Is be interested in hanging out and meeting my fellow CC people at least.
