so i decided to take the sleeping bed off and do some adjustments to it.... cut the bed and input another hinge so that when the shell is on i can access the cargo space fully. It now folds over once and opens up all the way. carpet laid and measured Cut to size and rolled up for glue Glued and Stapled finsihed carpeting the main sleeping platform. Enjoy. :laughin:

Johnny quest mentioned a expedition type trip. I'm not sure I'll be ready with my rig but this is a trail I've always wanted to drive since I found out about it. http://www.oohva.org many different sections. -

my new daily driver and adventure rig. Figure it will be a good fixer upper and use as my daily driver here in the beautifl Texas weather.

shipp_m replied to hassyfoto's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
this is what i used to do a 4 and 6 connection. http://comancheclub.com/topic/19339-trailer-wiring-for-4-wire-and-6-pole-receiver/ -
so i am not sure if this has been done or not. and since i don't have my truck here with me i decided that i wanted to start what little projects i can for it and hopefully it will fall togather once its here. i see a bunch of cutsom interiors and different switch plates and auxillary switch locations. however i want my truck to be moded but still look stock. what i did was take an XJ trans and wiper swictch plate and a cigar lighter switch plate and made a stock like plate. this is pretty simple and can be done with only two beers. my end goal is to find someone who can print a sticker that will match the stock ones. ill show you here in a few...... this is all youll need..... as well as a dremel tool and jb weld peel the sticker off and make your cut lines cut out the switch and notification light area. take a cutter or grind wheel and make the edges square take the switch area and place it over the cigar lighter area.(ensure the socket it removed first) trace a line for your cuts. i forgot to take pictures of this part but cut just inside the lines so it is not to big and it will ensure a tight fit. if you need to use the grind wheel to make it work. added the toggle switches and lights switch plate and cigar plate fit tightly togather and can now be welded. i used jb weld. if you have something better please post your ideas! welded the back. it will set in 6 mins but will take 4 hours to be completed back complete....one of my lights fell out. but since i didnt want the plate to fall out ill leave it till i know its hardened. front is finished. sorry about the blury PHOTO!! here is the template concept i have came up with. it will go in this order. left side of steering will be the fog and cargo light. right side will be roll bar lights and rocker lights. then the cigar lighter will be aux fan and aux power to the interior. well i hope you enjoyed this! yxmj posted all in fun. as a joke... thats why comanche club is comanche club! we all have a good sense of humor. you can't come on here and post for advice and then immediatly turn into a J/A. we understand your upset and frustrated and we are all more then willing to offer you advice take the constructive criticism and have fun with it. as for advice your what 18-19 y/o? so that means your buddy is probably the same age right? so of course you immediatly want to resort to violance. first of all how much do you care for this girl? is she just a high school fling or is she something serious and someone you can see your self settling down with? find out what the true reasoning is behind it. if she is just a piece of pie then let it go. if you truelly love her then talk with this guy like adults. don't get hot headed and freak out on him. talk it through shake hands and continue on with your lives.

well i ordered the axle. i couldnt go 62 but i was able to go 60.75" good enough for me i suppose. I am trying to decide on a name for the trailer. i currently have it as SporTrailer but i was thinking of others as well.... 1. Sportsman 2. BaseCamp 3. Mountaineer 4. Bivouac 5. SporTrailer 6. Outdoorsman What are yalls thoughts? any other suggestions
-
So should I get brakes on the axle too?
-
Thanks ben. Ill be looking into it. As far as building one haha I'll leave those skills up to you. Once I finish up the academy I wouldn't mind taking some welding lessons though.
-
sorry there have been no updates on the build. started the police academy and the trailer is in storage until i can find a place to work on it. i do plan on buying parts and stocking up so i can get alot done once i find a garage. from yellaheaps suggestion i am swapping the axle out to a trailer axle and adding in a sway bar. any suggestions on what trailer axle i should use? i believe the axle is 58.5" thanks ahead of time.
