  8. Yes. Sorry its a Marine term. a rack is what you sleep on ie bed. a coffin rack is just a bed that flips up with storage under neath of the rack. it opens up like a coffin.
  9. It is a coffin rack. Lid open Storage Space Closed.. when I'm alone i have plenty of room Drilled holes for a leaf to go in for if i have some company with me. Sleeve will sit on the little strip and it is also tongue and grove. fits like a glove. Leaf will sit on top during travels. if i am alone leaf will stay at home. Here is the leaf attached. the little space on the right will be open to the back and will have accessories attached such as fire extinguisher, small hatched, etc.. etc... etc.... any ideas for the tool spot let me know. hope yall enjoy. Thats my buddy in the pictures. he helped tremendously and i would not have been able to do this with out him. You can't tell from the pics but i also put the tail lights back on.

  11. jpdriver1- i thought about it but i like the idea of having an on board water system. the fuel is as easy as the jugs and i have tons of those.

  13. As requested here are the Carriers with Water Jugs in them. And here is a Mach up of it with a Spare tire Now i just have to figure out how to combine them on a bracket to bolt to the trailer. with out a welder it tends to be a PITA. i fly out to Texas this weekend to test for a Police Dept and will have to wait till next week to figure that one out. Ben (Neohic) had built me a bracket for a water pump, same as the one like his on the Comansion and will be using that with an on board water tank in place of the fuel tank. however till i can get the parts/accessories for the water it will have to wait. once done i will replace the water jugs with fuel jugs so i can have more of an expedition set up. Thanks Ben
  14. So I'm leaving the beloved Marine Corps. as the military draws down and we go from a War time to a Peace time and After 8 years of lovely service and multiple deployments abroad i feel it is time to move on and do something else. So thus my trip across america. I will be leaving Virginia driving through TN TX NM CO WY MT ID. then after i am in ID a few days or weeks i am Moving down to TX and will do a return trip south. my goal is to meet up with CC members along the way and hopefully not have to stay at any hotels. my first stop will probably be the TN area and have already posted on their local chapter forum. I am in need of help planning my trip i hope to see yall on my journey. thanks in advance for all of the help. my Estimated Departure Date is May 14th. only time lines i have to meet is be in IDAHO by memorial day weekend and back to TX by June 7th for police dept testing. God bless and Semper Fi, Matt
  15. for all ya TN fellas. i am will be leaving VA and heading back to ID before i move to TX here in a few weeks. middle of MAY. i happen to have purchased some MJ parts from relyt120, and will be stopping near yalls stomping grounds. it would be great to get a group of yall togather and enjoy some time with fellow CC members. dates will probably be the 15ish of MAY.
  16. Here is the water jug and ammo can combo. one down one to go.
  17. Earning its keep! 1 yard of compost soil. and it also brought the mower in for a tune up earlier this morning
  18. did a complete tear apart of the suspension and swapped out the axle in hopes of fixing the the axle so far forward. ended up putting the spring packs on backwards and redoing it lol. pain in my rear!! when the sun comes up ill see if it did anything different by moving the bolts to a different spot. time will tell. ill get picks up tomorrow afternoon.
  19. the diesel residue on the bottom will mix with the entire 5 gal of gasoline. it will not hurt your truck at all. if its bugging you real bad just take two gals of gasoline mix the jug around and then pour that into an almost full tank on your truck. then fill the jug.
  20. anybody out there with black seat belts they would be willing to part with??
  21. here is what i found for the fuel/water jug mounts. sorry pics blurry.
  22. same trailer different bed.... i do have a spare frame and bed and axle. just not togather. and the frame needs to be welded to a trailer. so i could have two. or someone else could have one too.
  23. found these for ten bucks at the local yard. figured id match the other set i had for the truck.
