the seats and console are from a dakota, my dad has those in his 97 'koda, same colour and all

  4. would defiantly be different! keep the pics coming! good luck mate
  5. i understand..always working ona tight budget kills, save up and buy something useless for tghe truck, like a stereo, or something shiney, and take a break, go wheeling or work on other projects for a bit

    jeepspeed

from what i understand, they don't let us play because we have alonger wheelbase, which does stuff to help us whip the xj back into its rightfull place, just slighly behind the mj, and all mj class would be sweet though
  7. i like wacky weed...should give it to me... any updates on whats happening to the mj?
  8. they mentioned rust-proofing... pretty cool!
  9. believe so, same bolt patern on the bell housing, and the power output is roughly the same. not positivre on the spline count though
  10. jeeps have that effect..... hope everything works out for ya mate
  11. clean it up real good, and black paint should do it, just make sure it's clean. can't put some holes in your old one? subtle, but lets the sound out.
  12. i'll second the 2.5L bulletproof, little low on the hp, but off road they match the 4.0L, as its lighter, and, added bonus, keeps your speed low, so no tickets! ha! posted just before me, 33's and 35's are ok, just need to regear.
  13. i think thats a little to much. the comanche club is international, so i don't think we should be flaging it to one country. just my opinion taco
  14. would be super cool!
  15. agree with above, no rollbar, looks awsome!
  16. looks sharp, but doesn't the sub box need a enclosure to sound good? i'm not much of an audio person, so forgive the silly question
  17. dood! that looks exactly like mine! only mine is blue. and i have a window up top in the back, but that was due to a sawzall "accident" great camper cap, looks good! congrats on the steal
  18. very nice, that was soom deep water, and wipers!!
  19. the bumper is rated at 2000lbs, and the little 2.5l can tow. dad towed a little exavator on a tandem trailer with mine, when it was still his. the only worry is braking.
  20. life's rough, i feel your pain, i had to put my 1st one down too...you keep ending up with them. good luck mate!
  21. i looked into using the short box, but the wheelwell won't line up, there actually very different. you don't think a 242 will hold behind a mild stroker? wasn't it used behind the 5.2L in the zj's? 8k winch, sounds good! thanks mate ah i didn't read the thing about bobbing the frame, what is ment with bobbing? i would prefer not to play with the frame to much..just a tad scared of that.
  22. if my brain serves me corectly, none of the engine parts interchange between the 2.8 and the 2.5. all the steering and suspension will be the same
  23. well,i don't want to extend the frame, as its long enough as is. 4000lbs to light? quiet possible, havn't fully researched yet, just running options. i also realize its alot of work, but i honestly havn't found a truck i really like thats extended cab. so...i have all sorts of time, the old man has all sorts of tools, and my fiberglass skills are decent., so why not build the truck i keep coming back too? the way they should have been offerd? i have looked for another truck, but the only thing that comes close to what i like is an s10, but there just not...truck enough. oh, the truck is automatic right now, but i much prefer to shift myself. thanks for the coments!
  24. g'day fellow mj nuts. since spring is upon us, and i get bored easily, i started thinkging about the mj, and how to make it uber-sexy, more so then it is. the victim is a 1991 longbox 2wd, i don't like the longbox look, much preferd the shortbox, anyway, make do with what you got right? well, here's what i was thinkin extend the cab 5-6 inches, gives more leg room, and looks nicer bucket seats 6pnt internal cage, needed once i cut the unibody part of the mj shorten the box, make fiberglass panels, and steel and canada winter don't mix (michigan people know what i mean) 4x4! 4.8l stroker np4500 np242 t-case dana 44 rear 44 front? arb air lockers 3-4" lift 31's or 33's havn't decided 4.10 gears 97+ front end 4000lbs winch and much more! any ideas on making this a reality? the body work is the only part that scares me a little. well, thats my ramblins, later days
