jb hill is doing a sick street MJ i went up there to pick up an axle and my bedliner and saw some of it. all i can tell you about it is RHD setup S10 IFS up front.. !*)^%! WOAH and they were puttin the frame about an 1" off the ground or so. hopefully he'll drop by with some more. I'm with brett, i like about everything ESPECIALLY THE MOTOR! but not to crazy bout the grill. bet you've got a sick 0-60 with that huh?

 totally agree. i would post my opinion but you already did.

well the 4cyl and 4.0liters have different ratios too, the 4cyl being a 4.10 in alot of cases, so that could be the problem

Send me a PM with your e-mail address, and I'll send you an Excel spreadsheet that will tell you more about tire sizes and gear ratios than you want to know. The short answer is that, for stock tires, 3.54 is the optimum ratio. The 5-speeds came with 3.07s, but they are geared so tall that 5th gear isn't usable except on the highway, and even at 55 you're well below the torque peak of the engine. 3.54s are a better balanced choice. oh yeah, i can't wait for 3.07s on 32"s :D 225s id say 3.55s are dead on, i drove a 5spd XJ with 3.73s and it was a little on the low side compared to my MJ with 3.07s which are a little high. can see it now " is this kid gonna go? the lights green!"

AKA: we've finally been able to collect 2 good minutes of H2s offroad and not getting stuck and 4 minutes of bashing jeeps with bad drivers and or open diffs. :rotfl2: that jeep grand waggy was it? that went flyin down lions back... understood, i would definately join if i had the moolah cause i know its worth it. but 40 bucks is alot.
-
how come their tires are so wide? thats just weird. badass places though!
-
i go there only when its 1AM and my shifter won't go back into my transmission and i have to be at work at 10AM... cause i know 5-90 or someone will be on there... worked last time. its great when you're in a bind, and the info is great. i just prefer the "homey-er" atmosphere of the comancheclub i was actually gonna join until i found out it was FORTY DOLLARS, i go to forums cause i can't afford to get my junk fixed :redX: i don't have that kinda money to fork over!

 sorry for your loss as well man, thats not a fun thing to come home to  to the question though, i remember one member said they took their jeep to a local paint/decal shop and the person there was able to re-create the sporttruck thing, maybe a place near you could do the same?

ill keep an eye out on it then, its not bolted down... just "spare-parted down" so its easy enough to pull once in a while.
-
at least theyre not beating cripples with their own prosthetic legs yet... :hateputers: :headpop:

ive recently acquired a drop in stock manche-liner, doesnt seem to trap moisture, in fact i pulled it today and there was only a tad bit of wetness. but that didnt alarm me since it was raining on and off all day.
-
to be safe though... id still run it slow. you did say the tach redlines at 6k which leads me to beleive it isnt stock for the engine. cause my full gauge cluster (stock) definately reds from 5k up. if you got brave you could punch the gas (nuetral) and hit the rev limiter while watching the tach... if the tach is right on it should rev-limit to right above 5k if its off then the tach will skyrocket 1 1/2 times or so like eagle said. or you could get a cheap "tuner-tach" and wire that up to check. have you tried counting shifts yet? (trust me i wouldnt count on the gauge being wrong.. PO told me the temp gauge was off and read hot cause the motor was swapped... this was not the case, and i ran it at 250 for about 4 months... this guy was a naxja-er too.)
-
what i did was just sit on the passenger side (in the daylight, not that it mattered :brows: ) and try to manuever it around then i got brave and just torqued it up and it went back... very reluctantly, but i think its getting easier to do... i might spray some lock cylinder stuff in there see if that helps any.
