  1. Ya, it should be close haha.
  2. I was even thinking of making it removeable by bolting it to the sliders....heavy duty hardware obviously. But the one thing thats got me it the cross brace under the windshield....can you still open the hood all the way (using the second prop rod hole) and use the windshield wipers? Or does one have to be sacrificed. anyone know? Brad
  3. Found a set of 4.10's!! WOOHOO The front will be going under this week, and the rear will go in once it warms up a bit. Brad
  4. Which album should I be looking in? And as far as rollover and triangulation madness...i know, i know, i know. I would probably draw up a cage and do a stress anaylsis at common loading points for a roller, if thats what I was going for...but its not. Think of it as a 'cab slider' the one part you can't replace on these trucks is the 'cab' if you will. I just want something to drag against trees in the tight woods here, thats all. Which is why I liked this setup. Brad
  5. I like the nice simple exo on this MJ, anyone have info on it?
  6. I should be a pro by then...I'm holding out for my buddies 6.5" front setup and 33" super swampers when he goes 44's leafs, and 38" But I;m sure theres a few guys here who could get a wrenching weekend going to work on everybody's problems/projects. Just too damn cold here. Finished sanded the bog today. Man was it cold.
  7. My buddy might be getting some D44's and going real big on his Cherokee. So I might wait to buy tire's until he decides. I'd be running 6.5" of lift and 33" swampers
  8. How bout some wheeling parties too!!
  9. WOOHOO edaville!! And as far as Walpole, I'd be more worried about football coach jokes  My girlfriend's family is from Walpole too.
  10. Seems to be a few of us on here...let's hear it guys. where ya from?! I'm from Acushnet MA, down near New Bedford
  11. you lucky devil you!! I was going to use it as a woods rig for my girl to wheel. But you'll get more use out of it as parts for the Manche anyway.
  12. I'm in Acushnet...about 15 mins from where you found that cherokee. I'm working on the same sort of deal as you. Starting with a 88 2wd. We'll have to go wheeling when they get done!!
  13. AHHHHH hahaha I emailed back and forth with that guy for a while, had the trailer and cash ready, but he never emailed back haha. No harm done tho, I found another Comanche. Glad it went to someone who can use it!!
  14. Did you buy that thing from the New Bedford/Dartmouth area?
  15. Picked up the 86 4x4 today. lots of good parts on it. Ranch springs/shocks, newer rims, bucket seats, tack dash, etc. Pics tomorrow
  16. Swamp Yankee: "a rural dweller--one of stubborn, old-fashioned, frugal, English-speaking Yankee stock, of good standing in the rural community, but usually possessing minimal formal education and little desire to augment it." -Wikipedia I've been looking for a cheap Jeep for a while now, and I've always had a thing for Comanche's. A friend of a friend owed some money, so I picked up a relatively clean 1988 2wd 4.0 2wd for 300 bones. Of course it NEEDED to be 4wd for the winters here in MA. Found a 1987 4wd 4.0 5 speed for $200. And then a 1986 4x4 2.8l for $50 :D Now the fun will begin! The Swamp Yankee bit is because all of the local boys around here have "hillbilly deluxe" or "redneck" stickers, and well, I just have to be different haha. Enjoy.
