  1. That's a 1996-1998 Grand Cherokee.
  2. You have to select a year for the 5.0 injectors on that site. What year should I select?
  3. If that is true, why does Precision Auto Injectors list 87-95 as compatible? Should I stay away from them? http://www.precisionautoinjectors.com/p ... roductId=7
  4. I am holding the two assemblies next to each other right now. If I pull the pedal on the MJ's bracket all the way up to where it contacts the switch, it is much higher than the XJ's pedal when it contacts the switch.
  5. MJ left, XJ right. If I swap pedals, it won't contact the switch. What can I use to make a bracket that allows the switch to mount lower.
  6. The brake light switch bracket is much longer and lower on the 95's assembly. I don't think the pedal will contact the switch if I do that. I suppose I could bend some piece of metal to extend the switch down further though.
  7. Started the dual diaphram booster swap. I got all of the old stuff out, but hit a snag. The pedal assembly I got from the 1995 XJ is slightly different. Because I have the column shift, the transmission shift cable mounts to a bracket on the old assembly. I'm going to have to see if my local machine shop can cut the bracket off and weld it to the XJ pedal assembly.
  8. 1995-1996 XJ's booster, master cylinder, and pedal assembly will bolt right up.
  9. Are the 2 door cherokee's and 4 door cherokee's weather stripping different?
  10. Pulled some of the crappy wiring the previous owner did. Also installed my full XJ cluster. After all the crappy wiring I saw I decided I should probably check the CD player's wiring. Good thing I did because the crimps are loose and most of the wiring is sticking out of the crimps. Also noticed that the engine was idling around 400-500 RPM sounded a little low too. I'm going to clean the throttle body and IAC tomorrow to see if that helps.
  11. WJ suspension is completely different than the MJ's and XJ's.. You cannot use spacers for WJ's with MJ's.
  12. I didn't check, but I'm sure there is. They had at least 5 XJ's in there plus the Comanche.
  13. Picked up a gauge cluster, courtesy lights, ash tray light, and clock from a 1989 Cherokee. Then pulled a brake booster, master cylinder, and pedal assemble (with switch) from a 1995 Cherokee. Total cost was about $50. They also had a Comanche there with almost everything intact, but the bucket seats had been taken.
  14. Thanks, I'll look at that. And I haven't bought them yet, going to buy new senders this weekend.
  15. I picked up a gauge cluster at the Junk yard today, and I'm trying to remove the old one. I have the shifter on the steering wheel, and I can't get the plastic bezel around the gauge cluster to clear it. How do I get that piece off?
  16. Thanks guys, hardest part appears to be making the lines. What size is the steel line so I can make it?
  17. MJ's have two lines going to the rear Prop Valve and XJ's don't right? What do I do about that?
  18. I've been looking through the threads, and there's a lot of info scattered around all over. I just want to know what exactly I need for the easiest (plug and play) swap. I believe I need a 1995-1996 XJ, Booster, Master Cylinder, Prop Valve, and Pedal Assembly? I also need some sort of adapters? And new brake lines need to be bent? Finally, what do I do about the Prop Valve on the rear axel? And can I pick up the brake line I need at an Auto Parts store?
  19. So it's not really necessary?
  20. There's tube that runs from under the intake manifold up to the air filter box. I looked it up and I guess it's supposed to let warm air mix with the cold to get an optimal temp? Well, this tube is pretty shot, and it's not even connected to the air box. Is it really necessary? Does it improve performance/gas mileage?
  21. The stock wheels are in my garage, and the topper is in the storage room. :)
  22. I will be doign this in my Comanche too. Can't you just cut out a hole in the bottom of the tachometer like the standard gas gauge has?
  23. Bought her tonight, she's beautiful. :) I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
  24. What do I need to put gauges in? I hate idiot lights. Will XJ gauges work?
