Bought the MJ a year ago as a toy was driving XJ`s for years and still do. Once I got the MJ the XJ just sits most of the time. I have been without it for a month due to engine problems and can't wait until its back on the road. The donor is set to go in wednesday hope to have it running by Friday! Big problem is winter is coming and I just can't run it here in the salt its just to nice and rust free for a northern truck to ruin it. So I say 50/50.

Many thanks guys rings are ordered from dealer along with the insert to switch to the newer filter style. I am going to turn my housing 90 deg`s will let you know how this all goes.

Surely some one on here can tell us after its been posted for a while.

My dealer can't quite deal with the fact that the o rings for the older 4.0 motor uses different o rings. Can some one confirm this and is there anyway to switch to the adapter from the newer motors and if so what years. I tried searching and came up with alot of hits but no answers.

Ok putting a different motor in my mj 4.0 auto. Some tell me to put a new front seal in the tranny should this be done? Also would it make sense to put in a new CPS since everything is out. I had no problem with this seal as of now.

Quick fix for this if it has not been more than 45 days just file a claim with paypal. This can be done with many transactions. If he has money in his account paypal or checking after a period of time if no descision they can and return it. If fact they pull it right away and wait for the decision to return it to the seller. Its early and I am in a hurry I use paypal everyday selling antiques and such if any one wants to know more I will try to help later.

Love the brushwackers are they Comanche specific or do Cherokee ones work? Also do you cut some of the sheet metal before putting these on?

Sounds like its shot on mine the donor was riveted in and the other was bolted we just drilled the rivets out and bolted it back in the other door. Was a quite easy swap you also have to take a large nut off I think IIRC, its early here and I just got up.

My turn signal blinks really fast and when the headlights are on super fast. I checked my bulbs and connections replaced one socket and it still does it. Any suggestions its on a 99xj 4.0.

Know ho you feel mine sounds like 100 gremlins are inside it with little hammers. My day is coming!

Ok found one more thing the I think its called the sway bar link one on each side the one is bent very bad would this do it?

Had a helper Do the saw thing and used my hand then we switched and did the same paid special attention to the track bar. One tie rod had a very very small amount of movement could hardly tell. No lift yet some day soon thinking 2 inch I just use it for a light trail driver and work sometimes. I did just do the u joints in the axle and one hub was rough feeling so I replaced one. Now I wish I had done both just to rule it out. The arms are stock and from what I see on CW`s links new is the way to go. So how hard is it to remove the bushing on the axle?

Tires and rims are about 3 months old it actually wobbled worse with the old tires. I am not a expert on checking front ends I do know a little though think I missed something?

Ok I have some wobble checked wiggled everything I could think of in the front end. This does not do this all the time and you can drive or brake out of it but it seems to be getting worse. The only thing I found some play in is the control arm bushings mostly side to side. Could this be it or am I missing something. This is a 89 4.0 4x4 automatic 150,000. If so how hard are they to rebuild with poly bushings?
