  1. how all the imported cars get here then? nissan skylines, sylvias, puegeots, citroens diesel xjs you see on ebay every once in a while, etc. it is possible, but like sir sam said its a long, difficult process, back then it used to be a little harder b/c of emissions, but today everything is built to regulations with most countries(all cars come with cats etc.), some amercian cars are even built in other countries and imported here, like dodge for example, one of the biggest plants is in mexico city, now that I'm thinking about it, my aunt brought her 99 accord up here from mx city, she has registered insured, plated, titled, inspected, and everything in san antonio
  2. not really, I don't know all the details but it is possible, i was going to buy a mini cooper pickup truck down there and was plannin on bringing it up, i know its alot of paper work and you have to be able to pass emissions up here, at least that was what my mom did when she moved up here 28 years ago, and my uncle jus brought up my great uncles ford galaxie from mexico city all the way up to ohio and I'm pretty sure he has it registered and everything up here, but who knows it mightve changed since then
  3. nice job, i wish my high school did something cool like that,
  4. i would love to have your jeep, i would never get rid of my tj, but if it were to ever be totaled beyond repair, a standard rubi lj would be my replacement, power wagons are pretty bad @$$, but they don't get great gas mileage, but neither do rubicons, quad cabs are nice but the back seat isnt all that roomy, for your kids it might not be too bad, but when they get older and grow alittle more, depending on how old they are now, theyll be cramped, all in all its not a bad idea, since your family is growing, and the power wagon will give you way more room than your lj, and you can easily sell your lj,
  5. They make 4 door rangers? Mexican 4 door ranger: http://www.ford.com.mx/vehicles/gallery ... ection=EXT There are tons of stuff made in mexico not seen in the us. Like the Dodge Ramcharger... They continued making them in MX. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAyAI8DlxVM http://www.angelfire.com/pa2/MattInTheH ... arger.html Rob L. yup ive seen them both, when i started driving i wanted a standard, 4x4, 4 door ranger with the diesel engine they come with, at the time my buddy had a durango, and he wanted the newer version of the ram charger(2 door durango)
  6. that looks pretty cool, but instead of moving the cab back he couldve jus gone south of the border and bought himself a 4 door ranger, it looks pretty close to what he has jus with a door instead of a panel, and wouldve probably been easier, but so that we can stay on the topic of comanches, i wish they had more pics of the comanche, it looks pretty sick
  7. alright cool thanks you guys, so i should probably see if i can find a complete ax15 out of an xj
  8. i know alot of you guys have done this, so i need help. found out that my pukegoat ba10/5 is giving me hell with the clutch, won't engage in gear, leaks when i bleed the clutch, so I'm really frustrated to say the least. so i decided to swap an ax15 in, i found one on CL, but doesnt have a bellhousing. now for my question, will the bell housing from my pukegoat work for the ax15? and i read earlier that it will work, but will my new clutch kit(slave cylinder, throwout bearing, flywheel, etc) from my pukegoat work for the ax15? can't think of any other questions but when i do ill ask
  9. good call i didnt look at it close enough, i thought that was the indention of the mj tailgate, its an older xj so its a fiberglass
  10. a member on the fsj forum posted a thread about this ford on a m715 chasis, looks pretty cool but lookin behind it i saw what looks like a 2 door xj convertible with an mj tailgate conversion, anybody know this truck or have any pics of it, was said to be for sale in amarillo, but i couldnt find it
  11. cool, if i don't figure out another seup, I'm going to keep that one in mind,
  12. that was another idea, but you didnt have any issues with your spring compressing and crushin the pipe?
  13. gave that some thought also, thanks for the input
  14. I found the exhaust through frame pic, here's the link of the truck http://jp.automotive.com/25956/154-0710 ... index.html
  15. noo, i saw a pic of somebody who did it(I'm trying to find it but i can't) and i gave thought about doing that, but i don't think I'm going to
  16. how do you guys have your aftermarket exhaust setup? I'm tryin to get ideas for my mj, i would love to have it come out the side but if i bottom out then ill crush it, i saw a pic of one mj that they cut a hole through the frame and the pipe went through there, but i don't think the frame would be very strong after that, I'm thinkin of having it dumped unless any of you guys ahve any cool ideas

    19 years

wow, i was only 9 months old, i wish i couldve seen comanches when they were brand new, guess the same thing will happen to me 20 years from now remembering when i first got my tj
  18. always wanted an xj, got a tj at 16, after that i got 2 grand wagoneers at 17, then i got another grand wagoneer and a j10 at 18, then got my first mj at 18 and my second at 19 first mj second mj
  19. that thing is pretty sick, id buy it if i were closer and had the money for it
  20. my parents had one before the v10 we had, my friend right now, since he rolled his xj doin 80mph, is lookin for either 7.3 f250 or a 2500 cummins, to tow 2 of our groups jeeps
  21. man that really sucks, a while back my dad was thinking about getting a minivan, i tried talking him out of it, it wasnt until my mom said she wouldnt drive it, that he then decided to get an v10 4x4 excursion, one of the best trucks we ever had
  22. yea its not great feeling, but rust and dried up mud are always fun
  23. yea i had three people including myself working on it, and yea brake fluid burns when it gets in your eye :grrrr:
  24. no i had jus replaced everything, and i was jus seeing if everything turned out ok, and it wasnt, but i think i solved the problem last night, my friend came over and we bench bled the master cylinder, and then we bled the rest, and now it seems to work, doesnt pull foward when i try to start it in gear, but its still hard to put it in gear, itll go its jus a pain
