  1. plugs should be gaped at .35 like a 4.0. Also aren't you to upgrade the injectors as well?(not sure) and have you pulled the plugs and smell to see if gas is at least getting to them?
  2. Damn that canoe is ugly, does it even float? :rotfl2:
  3. It's always good to start another topic for people that use the shearch can find what they may be after. 1 yes they are. 2 90 amp and with a good baterey you can run 4-6 with good results.
  4. Naw, that would be tacky. They'll be painted the same color as the hood.
  5. nice find! You gonna chrome dip them now? :D
  6. pretty sure yeah.
  7. Don't know if you notice but I don't think your shocks are going to work like that. :teehee:
  8. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.p ... or+upgrade some more in depth info.
  9. Red is regular battery and yellow is deep cycle, which is best for running winches a lot out on the trail.
  10. That's a good article Don, thanks. So, I guess I'm looking for an alternator that's 130 Amp? There's no battery/alt shops around me. Can anyone recommend a good alternator for an 88 4.0 and place to buy it? (Napa's out of the question.) ???????????????????? 12. X2. It's a major PITA especially if it's much larger than the one you're replacing. But maybe we're not as talented as the Mini-man. Oh, go chrome something! :rotfl2:
  13. Yeah they are better than Kodak just giving BLHTAZ a hard time. I think you need a snorkel. :teehee: :teehee:
  14. Buy stock in batteries. Kodak's like to eat them up! We paid $20 and got 4 Kodak rechargeable batteries and the plug in charger. Working out great. I set of batteries last about 300 pics at 7.1 megapixels or about 1 hr video.
  15. Explains alot :laughin:
  16. Yeah, but will it hurt anything to put the higher Amp one on. This is considering I plan on one day adding fog lights, two electric fans instead of one, 4 lights on a show or roll bar, lights in the back to light up the bed and the area behind me and who knows what other electrical doo-hickey I can throw on there. I don't want to skimp on the alternator only to have to replace it 1 year down the road because of crap I add on. no it won't ,but for the money go to an alt/batterey shop and have them boost yours or trade yours in for an 130 and it'll set you back $125, dang near the price of a new one.
  17. It helps a TON to have an extra set of hands for the install. I'd recomend not even attempting it by yourself as you'll hate your Jeep by the time your done. It's worth a case of beer (or whatever it takes) to get your buddy to help. What? To change an alt? They are a easy to change. Well maybe for me being I change them and starters all the time. I wann say there is a conversion to put the alt at the top of the engine instead of the trouble some bottom. But not sure where it is, but if anyone knows let me know.
  18. Chico.....:shake: Go to auto zone and have them check your battery at the same time.
  19. You don't think it will hold up? :???: I'm going to add a piece of 6" C channel to the front cross member, then build a bumper around the entire thing. I don't expect sheet metal to handle the pressure of a winch. ;) Willy :laughin: I know but wanted to sure it was posted so someone checking it out this far don't jump the gun and go do it them selves then expect it to work.
