  2. Well got a new house and haven't did much with the mj at my storage unit. So had to slap it back ttogether to get it on the trailer and back to the house. So got it home then we got 3ft of snow the next day. Wtf? I miss Alabama in the winter times so much. But getting that bug again so maybe tinker with it soon. .
  3. So sexy! :thumbsup: your rig alright looking too. Nice cage set up I like it. very practical.
  4. havent did anything to MJ in afew months. Things starting to warm up, was snowing yet yesterday! :( But soon I'll be working on it, be ordering parts soon.
  5. ax15 be best to replace the puke. the peagot trans is a split case down the center length wise if need to varify which you have. front driveshaft is a cv already unless you want a double carden joint aty each end but should be able to make a crossmember and put a notch in it where the driveshaft is hitting. just be sure your not over flexing and start blowing driveshafts due to binding. limit straps and bump stops go a along way in saving parts.
  6. Mans its been a while since I been able to get around on this site and just now getting to catch up on your build. Last I seen it 6ou was pulling the engine back out. This thing is sick! I dig the exo as I'm weird like that, back half is sweet as well. Turned out killer in the vids. Love the sound! Will reference this build in future upgrades on my build. Its not a KOH build by no means but we all have our own beautys.
  7. No chrome but a set of tails... $75 shipped.
  8. Got a pic of how you did the shackle setup for the front. Glad to see your got some fw, you'll be happeir you did.
  9. To do list, or plan..... 4 link rear coils Rid of bed/shorten frame 3 link front coils Narrow front and rear for low cog when on 42's Cage including new tube bed Ax-15 install with 231/300 doubler setup. D60 front install 14b rear install Oba Power source for tools
  10. Could also use a 6" drop pitman arm, just a thought. But yeah man looks awesome for a bdmt. Not sure if you plan to hit trails or boggs but either way I see full widths in your future. Also they sell hy steer knuckles for a d30. But ummmm yeah.
  11. Hey Pete when you can get these guys some stickers for their rig. Only had one card left which I gave to him today.
  12. You guys need to check this rig out, badass for sure! Good to talk with you bit today at Rocks and Valley offroad Park! Didn't have a chance to get back to your camp and talk some more, perhaps you guys will try some winter wheeling come feb for dog party at Twisted Trails offroad Park in mesick, MI. Two thumbs up on the rig, next time we'll play follow the leader once I'm done with the front 60 upgrade. :)
  13. Plan to run it! Lol Na, hight steer cross over steering, coils or coilovers in front, long arm, keeping 4.10s for now as be picking up a 14bolt for the rear and no longer going to 4 link the rear just going to pick up a new set of metric ton leafs. And be swapping in the ax15 as well so geaing should be alright for now but if sits long enough then just regear everything to 4.88s and plan on 40s again.
  14. let the fun begin... with my new kingpin! :}
  15. Being parked this weekend for much needed upgrades. :D swapping out the 44 front for a 60 to start and maybe a little paint as well.
  16. Sorry, thought we was passed technical terms in means of Frame, yes we all know as MJ or Xj owners know we have a unibody frame, so let's not make something more complicated. I was referring to the front being that was where the question was directed, yes naturally you are going to want to reinforce any mounting area to help in aide to stresses to the rig itself. Do some reading and go from there..... http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/jeep-cherokee/720309-totm-unibody-front-leaf-spring-conversions.html
  17. Front leaf with shackles in the front is simple, why people go this route as I did. Rear mount for leaf use factory lca mount then use about a standred 5" shackle in the front and adjust from there. If want to go shackles in rear you would want to french them into the frame to get your desired result. But keeping in mind that must provide room for the shackle to swaing back as the leafs flatten out. This approuch involves more fab work, clearly. And also with 10" lift Id suggest a trac bar and brace as steering willbe grappy with no hgydro assigt at least.
  18. Yeah I heard it was closed. Issues there were I guess. I do miss AL and would love to get back down they way again.
  19. Thanks man. Have you dined ever at one of Butterbeans restuarants? :D
  20. Looks like Ill be swapping out the front 44 for a 60 same time I do the trans swap! :woot:
