  3. from the ad: "THE FRONT ARB BUMPER IS FROM LIBERTY BUT I ARRANGE TO FIT IT"
  4. i can see that, especially since the term 'prerunner' is so open for interpretation. heck, some teams used to use rental SUVs to prerun their courses. a prerunner can be whatever you want. most agree however, that a prerunner has to be a street legal vehicle that can pre run a baja course at a decent speed, so supple suspension is a must, unless youre ok with being limited to 25mph. with speed comes a cage. tire size, fiberglass bedsides, lightbars, etc are up to the builder. so yea, it can be whatever you want it to be.
  5. if you have to ask, you can't afford it. seriously though, look into the JeepSpeed series; its a desert race series for the (somewhat) budget minded and is focused on the XJ and MJ platform. All-out prerunner? strip an MJ down to the absolute bare minumum, and start throwing handfuls of blank checks and credit cards at it.
  6. they look like OMC offroad brackets
  7. it looks like its in decent shape. he dropped the price down to $900 in another ad.

  9. to correct my previous post, 10.5s and 14b are the same thing. 10.5s are the updated version. all the internals can be swapped back and forth from my understanding. 11.5 is a totally different beast. i have an AAM 10.5

  18. how is the ax15 holding up behind the 5.3? been thinkin of doing a 5.3 in mine, but still undecided about the trans. might go 4l60e, but if the ax15 holds, i might just keep it. also, how much did you have to shift the trans back?
  19. The fabled DirtEater graces my page? I'm honored! I like the build, I just wish it had been documented better, honestly. yea i kinda skimped on the build thread. anyway, my 14b came from a 2005 chevy 2500. techincally, i believe its called an AAM 11.5; came with disc and ebrakes from the factory and 4.10s
