Well thats it the name is Peyote and the striping of the mj starts today... but first dig about 4 feet of snow out from around it...hahhahaha I will put up pics and start a build page

I saw the red one on a few different website in 99. I cut up an old 88 xj and had most of the build done and a guy walked in the driveway and bought the jeep before I had a chance to finish it.... it looks great for a coped xj....

I understand your thinking and find it funny that out of everyone ( this and 3 other fourms that Iam on and talk about this build) you are the only one that has said anything about safty.. I will start by saying thanks for thinking of me and others that may be in the truck. I will be offroading but just simple trails nothing to extream at all. no as far as fare as streatching out an mj compaired to the xj build I am thinking about comes down to this. both the mjs I have need lots of work. as the both run great they have ther down falls when it comes to floors and frame on one of them. now with that being sais. Myself and a enginer, welder, teacher of both ( friend of brother) brother and I have been throwing ideas back and forth about the best way to do this. For safty and price tag. so as far as streatching an Mj ((cut the frame/box and welding it all back togeather 2 times {doing this to retain wheel base as close as I can}, cut the mj cab, cutxj infront of rear doors, cut xj behind rear doors, put xj floor and rear doors in then weld all back togeather)) Or cut xj at rear of back doors, cut mj back of cab, cut box and frame 2 times{ weld back togeather to retain wheel base as close as I can} then weld all back togeather.. as you can see sound like the same amount of cutting but the differance is if I use the mj I have to cut the xj or the other mj twice to get the parts for the streatched part. useing the xj I only have to cut that once and weld the rear of the cab MJ back on. with the exception of the doors. now if I go with a suicide door it will be one on the drivers side. that has been decided because of structual advantages.. the door piller will have to be mounted to the rear door. I have to build suport for floor, roof and rear of rear door and front of front door. this is still not a yes but after we take it apart we are going to decide on the suicide doors. reason it may be too much work and time. ( this build has a time frame) Also support for the frame ( if i have suicide doors or not) the hole frame because it is being cut and welded back togeather is going to have support rails going from the front of the rear tires to the rear of the front tires. this is yet to be decide on the actual way we are going to do this but when done it will be ok. Thanks for you thoughts and anything you or anyone can add that can help pease post and when I start the build page please add to it as I will take anything and look at to see if it will work. that goes for anyone. more minds make better builds......

whatever you name it, i just hope you finish the build. there has been a lot of folks saying that they are going to, but never do. i want to see one done! Oh it will be done. I have a build team and just about all the pices I wanted to have before I started. my bro. he does uplostery and is great with fab work  , the neighbour a welder  , the atlantic paint champian from ezairfx Heath and, me. the money and brains ( or crazy and has to finsh things because my dad never did) lol I was out in the afternoon yesterday measuring doors and the box so I can trim a back door in half and weld back togeather for the suicide back doors. the box so I can cut part of it out to retain as close as I can the long box wheel base. I did it in the afternoon because it was warmer. -22. lol :ack: The main part of the build is simply to get a rolling truck fabed, welded, painted and, back on the road. I have the 6" skyjacker lift. d44s 2 xjs and 2 mjs two build out of. I am thinking about 2 to 3 months depending if I am working or not. shuld start in feb doing some cuts and most of the planing so that when I roll the xj in it is a matter of cut weld prim and paint. I will ad gearing, lockers, bumpers and, all goodies after the truck is up and on the road. It may take time seeings I have a new baby girl due in june. the g/f said I don't care what you do but have it done before that. Say it with me "Project Peyote" you know you wanna, rolls off the tongue, is catchy..... I am feelllllllllllling it

So I am going to build a ext cab mj like the one in the pic. my plan is to take the 94 xj and fab the box and rear cab section on it. the rear doors will be cut down fiped from side to side to make them suicide doors and only 3/4 in leanth. It maybe red not blue as the 94 xj is red now, a good friend and airbrusher is going to do some ghost flames and paint the strips and name on the jeep. http://www.ezairfx.com or Heath Morrel on Facebook to see his work. he has done lots of workk for Redbull and others world wide. first off I need your help with a name for the build. so please help out and vote.

I agree with ya their I ran 44's on a chev with d44's front and rear for over 2 years on the road and on the trail.. I did loss 3 axles over that time but big deal. you can do that with 33's or even 31's. its all in the way you drive it. looking good keep us posted on the build... I can't wait to see some trail pic's.. -
pm me the mesurments of what you need and I will ask the brother how much it would be. He does upolstery lots of boat covers not a big differance.

Thanks. this will be the g/f dd for a bit but in about 2 months when it starts to warm up it is going into the garge to become part of the mj/xj build. I amgoing to make a ext cab Mj with short box. the 6 or maybe 8's of lift. going to be all kinds of fun...
-
cool thanks for the info sir. I was not looking at the miner details I did not know that they came with options like that. I was kind of just buying it for the parts but after looking it over I am starting to think it's alot better shape then the dd I have now. so I will make it the dd or in the spring the Mj xj project truck.

hhahahahhaah your not to funny but right  as the vin # comes back as sport. the guy I got it from said he had changed fenders and thats why I did not worry about the sport on the fender that is not realy their. and the other side said limited. he must have changed the left and not the right. as he told me. I also did not think that the sport had all that stuff... good eye..
-
I thought so too but reg said it was a limited. I am going to see if I can run the vin and find out... Did the sports come with power everything..seats, window,,ect ect ect
-
I went and picked up a 92 SPORT with 6" skyjacker 33's sye 410's. 15x8 amr's, It has a bit of rust starting but all and all not a bad start to a great Jeep

MJ#2 build w/leafs...NEW PICS
tazjeeper replied to jeepaholic's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I was talking about it on a thread here a wial back. what did yo use for front springs? for what I want to use the mj project I am building for I think this is the way I want to go. I was toying with the idea of cj front or yj. I like the width. I have a d44 in the Mj so I do not want to swap that out. I was thinking soa and the leafs up front would give me the lift I want. -

Intersting thread. Here are some links for you. My brother and I are builing one now at my place as I have wind average of 40 to 45 klm per day. I can not store energy its a law here where I live so and power has to go into the grid that I do not use and I recive a credit from the power company. thats not a big deal to me. If you are realy looking at this type of renewable energy you will find this first site realy helpfull and Ed is a great guy to help you. he has the know how and powers his shop and home with wind power. He says it only cost him 1500 to start it all up. thats not much money and as far as thinking you need banks and banks of battery it all depends on the batterys used. he only used 8. http://www.windstuffnow.com/main/ This is the type of turbine power we are looking at to power the garage as their I can store power with out the powers to be knowing I am doing it. this will be the first prodject gearing up so it will power the garge in the spring. then I will build one to run the house off of. http://www.windstuffnow.com/main/ Here is an other site that I found had a lot of great info and where I found the link to ED's site. Oh and By the way Ed's website is run off of windpower. http://www.thebackshed.com/Windmill/default.asp Good luck and keep me posted with you ideas. Ps don't forget this EV Jeep http://www.driveev.com/jeepev/home.php

I do not know about your info but what ever. My brother and the Mike at our boat shop do cut temperd glass. I alread told you about the seal. maybe you can not buy it in the us but I can not see why you can't. you can buy a roll of seal here from any glass shop and cut to fit. as far as taking the window out use piano wire or a very small pice of snare wire. works the best to cut the old seal out. but hay what do I know I was triming temperd glass with an angle grinder to make it fit last month. and put in a seal cut to fit and the internet says you can do it. hahhahahaaaa good luck with you window.
