  4. well due to local weather being VERY unusual for va beach i haven't been able to install the coolant tank or fire extinuisher but i did manage to make a drive to a town just outside of richmond and got a hitch for my MJ  too bad i had to take my mom's f150 cause the MJ won't make it that far  but i have been having fun in the snow/ice we have and surprisingly with a 2.8 2wd MJ with no tread on the tires it's been doing wonderfully :D the hitch and 2 grilles beside it, it's just a little dirty with a little rust but nothin the grinder won't fix with a wirewheel  Redwolf
  5. sidewall tread separation issues huh? what are some early sides of it cause my mom just got some on her f150 today, Redwolf
  6. not a big fan of coopers, everyone has always told me get coopers, get coopers, i just don't like the offroad proformance of their ATs i've thought bout em, but nobody in the area has them in stock, they're all special order, tryin to get somethin the same day that's nice to know, i've been gettin a lot of wet weather in virginia beach lately and keep slidin at a stop light when it turns green, i do drive more on the road than i do on a trail sweet, how well do they do in thick mud? Redwolf
  7. how hard did the hit the tree or rock? i've punctured my dad's TJ with BFG wheeling from landing sideways on a rock, Redwolf
  8. so it's tax time and that means tires in my family, i'm in between choosing the BFGoodrich All Terrain TA K/Os and the Goodyear Duratrac. I hoping to get some feedback out of duratracs and which one ya like better and why and where ya get it at cheapest, i will be running on 235/75R15 again due to gas mileage and slight rubbing, Thanks in advance, Redwolf
  9. thought bout there put i already got a pipe, book of cds, ice scraper and probably more crap already there, Redwolf
  10. progress on the MJ, just minor things that make a different to me :D top arm is painted bottom one aint (sorry for the blurry pic, camera is goin on my phone) both painted added cup holders, just a little difficult to drive from tacobell back to work on my lunch break holdin a large cup of baja blast lol even painted the underside of the arms  took her to go get washed, not bad for a $3.50 wash how the back of my bed looks now did the dome light fix that Fernando87mj posted bout (http://comancheclub.com/topic/45719-dome-light-fix/?do=findComment&comment=469735) stuff i've bought that needs to go in the truck (just don't know where to put the fire extinguisher :hmm: Redwolf

  12. He has a 2.8. 2.5 or 2.8 i should be able to use the alternators suggested as long as i swap pulleys right? Redwolf
  13. well i'm only gonna run the winch long enough to get out of a hole/unstuck, and only bein 2wd at the moment that could be 5 minutes it could be 30 minutes, nobody knows for sure, but i have a few yj and tj in some local jeep clubs that have added a winch to their jeep but never added a second battery and they run the winch with the light on, Redwolf
  14. so i've been wanting to get a winch for a while but i don't know if i need to upgrade my alternator, i already got a 800cca battery but i got the stock with a/c alternator, i plan on running the lights on my bumper, stock lights off the switch, 2 led light pods and a 20" light bar inbetween them on the roll bar, and i'll end up puttin a single light on the rear to see in the bed and/or hook up for a recovery, and of course the winch, any idea what amp alt i need? Redwolf
  15. it's been a while since i've posted bout what i've done to the MJ, got the brakes done back on sunday (week from yesterday) and that involved, shoes, drums, hardware and wheel cylinders. I've been fightin with a leaking coolant system but i can't really fix that untill i get a new coolant tank and a heater core; but i now have no CB radio or brackets in the MJ, instead i got cup holders :D pictures shall come thursday (if it doesn't rain), Redwolf
  16. yeah kinda, it's square-ish on the fender and then points out near the engine, Redwolf
  17. bump, Redwolf
  18. got the brakes done, didn't have to take pictures, i have a mirror image on the other side, but the wheel cylinders, brake shoes, drums and hardware are all replaced, now i really need to replace my parking brake and adjust it, Redwolf
  19. i got the sizes, turns out the other sizes are for the dana 44, website doesn't show that but in the store does, just gotta wait on my old man so i can learn drums, it's somethin i haven't done, i inspect em but don't replace em at work, Redwolf
  20. not that easy this time, i have 2 different size drums when i walk into advance, 2 different size shoes and 2 different wheel cylinders all for my year make and model ever hear of beating a dead horse? i'm the horse that don't die lol i do have a dana 35 (atleast for now) and i'm goin through advance cause they're cheaper for me (thanks to work) and like i said above when i quoted gogmorgo i have 2 different size and types of shoes, drums and wheel cylinders, Redwolf
  21. done some more to the MJ, replaced the radiator, cap, and both hoses, got chains hangin from the roll bar right about my jack (i still have a tow strap don't worry), no i get to figure out which size drums, shoes and wheel clyinders i need. this week is gonna involve all new rear brakes and hopefully longer studs, Redwolf
  22. i haven't seen a logo on mine but it is a tan plastic color triangle shaped tank, Redwolf
