  1. I believe that there are some Delco style CS-130's with 130+amp output that will fit directly. If you AC doesn't work/ you want to ditch it, I recommend an alt relocation. Not sure if he is on here. But a member over at Naxja, 5-90 makes awesome upgraded cables. Yes, if you have the know how, they are easy to make, but he does not charge much more than what it costs to DIY.
  2. Since the engine bay/front frame is essentially the same, I would consider checking out some LSx swap on the naxja.org forums. Frank Z and John D come to mind for this. I as well, plan on doing some sort of LSx swap. Unless I end up building something, which may happen down the road anyways, I really would like to start with a 6.0/6.2L truck engine, LSx car style intake (stock, or FAST if I can afford, there's a vendor on pirate that has some awesome, high clearance oil pans), 6L80 6 spd auto would be awesome as well, novak headers, engine mounts, possibly rad, etc.
  3. Lots of people recommend the Synergy suspension ball joints. Cost around 200$ for the full set. Some of the Jeepspeed teams run these with zero issues.
  4. I personally, never been a big fan of Chryco powertrains. I do, however, like me some XJ/MJ, ZJ and WJ's. Yes, the 242-I6 is super reliable, but was in existence before Chryco owned AMC/Jeep. My plan for both my XJ and MJ is GM LSx style engines. If I can make it happen, use the 6L80E, 6 spd trans as well. These GM engines are super reliable, plentuful, and powerful. Novak makes pretty much everything you need to drop in an go, from motor mounts, to headers/rad etc. Other than diesel, you will say to yourself "Could have had a V8"
  5. From the looks of the avatar, if correct, it is used as a plow vehicle.. among other things possibly. I would say a pair of axles from a 4cyl XJ/MJ. Or, 8.8 swap + D30 geared to 4.10s.
  6. How much lift did you net from the SOA?
  7. Not sure if you are planning on running a CB/Ham radio etc. But I would recommend one of those firestik antenna adapters.
  8. I noticed you said that your Autodesk license expired. There is a good FREE CAD program, called DraftSight. Not sure if you are familiar with it. I use it on my Linux systems mostly. I use ACAD on my Winblows PC as I am a student and have access to the autodesk programs for FREE.
  9. I started a thread over @ naxja so I just pasted the link here. Pictures are there. 1987 MJ, started life as a 2.5L/5spd 2wd. Currently has no engine/trans. PO was going to swap in a HUGE AMC 401, then decided against it. Part of the dash is cut out, and interior pretty much gutted. Steering is still hooked up, and has buckets. Will eventually get a GM LSx engine. Debating on which route to go with it suspension wise. http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1102959
