  1. Got mine too. Thanks for the hard work. When are you doing the next order? :D
  2. I haven't gotten my hoodie yet. When should I be getting it? ETA: ooops, nevermind. Just read the rest of the most recent posts and figured out you haven't sent them out yet. My bad.
  3. I'd like: light hoodie x 1 Sport Grey Forest Green Logo Size L and if you can swing the red logo I'll take light hoodie x 1 Black Red Logo L
  4. Is there a test procedure for the IAC like there is with the TPS? Anyway, I'll get a new IAC tomorrow. The funny thing about the IAC and TPS is that when I got my 87 MJ in 2007 she still had the original IAC, TPS, and a few other engine bits. Crappy parts, only lasting 24 years. ;)
  5. Did that when i cleaned the throttle body. Any other suggestions?
  6. OK, so I did a search and I think I have the answer. I just wanna make sure. 87 Renix 4.0L in the last month or so has been giving issues at startup. Will run for maybe a second or two then die. If I give it some throttle for a minute or so at startup it will run fine from there. So I've checked the vacuum lines, cleaned the throttle body, checked the plugs, fuel pressure, etc. Started it and it still does it. So I pulled the harness connector off the IAC and started it. Ran fine. No problems. My take from reading about 300 posts in the search for IAC stuff is that I need a new one. Would like a 2nd opinion before I do it.
  7. OK, 4x4 87 Shortbed with 4.0 and AW4. Engine is from a 01 Grand Cherokee (about 40k miles) and tranny is from a 94 XJ. In drive and under power its making a wocka-wocka kind of noise, more pronounced when in a turn or on an uneven road. Does it and out of 4WD. And when I shift into Neutral while rolling and give it some gas, I get the same noise. No noise when I let up on the gas or am coasting. I'm not good at diagnosing noises, but this one sounds rotational as opposed to an up/down noise. I know I'm not giving a good amount of info on the noise. I've been under the truck and given everything I could find a good shake and put a wrench on everything and its all tight. I have a few ideas for what it might be, though. Torqe converter? Crankshaft bearings? Motor mounts? Transmission and/or motor loose? Driveshaft out of balance/round? Ideas?
  8. Awesome. thank you so much.
  9. Where can I get that piece that re-routes the CPS connector? Linky please please please.
  10. Whats this about a crankshaft sensor that direct wires to the computer?
  11. MY belts still retract, but they don't lock when you pull them hard. I think that means they're shot and I need new ones. Do any of the belts linked so far in this thread fit an MJ?
  12. Duke blue. Then you can love and hate your ride at the same time.
  13. I used 5/16" bolts. Seems to be working OK.
  14. Yeah, its the chromed piece on the cab. The passenger side one got bent too. Guess I need to watch those low branches better next time.
  15. Searched for it, couldn't find the right combination of words to find it. Anyway, I was out this weekend and somewhere out in the woods the piece of trim above the driver's window got lost. Didn't even notice it was missing until about an hour ago. Any ideas where to get a new one so I don't look too lopsided?
  16. After all these stories of nothing but trouble from the CPS, why do we still have them? I'm not an electrical genius, but is it really that hard to "fake" the signal and get rid of the CPS?
  17. Have you checked to see if there's a cat wrapped around the axle? :D
  18. What engine do you have? The tach for the 4 cylinder won't register right with a 6 cylinder and vice versa. IIRC, there is a potentiometer on the back of the cluster to adjust the setting.
  19. Yes, the XJ with the curved rails are about 3 inches taller than MJ seats. I had a set in mine, but couldn't stand hitting my head on the roof all the time, so I tossed them and put in seats that fit properly.
  20. Don't know, but I had similar things with my 87 when I got her 3 years ago. The TPS, IAC and all the Renix sensors were original. So were the shocks and steering dampener/stabilizer. Still have the dealer's window sticker and original purchase order somewhere in the garage too. Only had 74k on her and I'm not complaining.
  21. I got one at O'Reilly's. Made for an XJ, fit my MJ perfect.
  22. When mine stopped working, I went to the Pull A Part and bought new ones for $4. Easier, didn't have to heat anything.
  23. I have to question whether you "need" to replace the transmission. While its true that its "weak", I owned a 2WD '87 with the 4.0L and Peugot 5spd for six years and the transmission never missed a beat. The reality is that if you just drive it around as a daily driver you shouldn't have issues. I'd get it running first and then check the tranny out before I got too involved with replacing it.
  24. Roll the window down. The "wipes" are held in with metal clips inside the door frame. I just grabbed mine and pulled up.
  25. Do you mean MAP sensor? I don't recall any MAT sensors. If you mean MAP, Rockauto has them. STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # AS5 or AS5T
