i've picked out my lift kit!
comanche13 replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
ok ive picked out my lift kit I'm gonan go with the tnt lift kit which i'll install next spring once i get a good 4x4 budget and make it past the snow and rust. is there anything else i should be looking for once i buy this lift? such as steering components, I'm going to install a SYE, I'm gonna put a dana 44 in the rear but i think i might just beef up my dana 30 in the front and run 33's and maybe 35's for daily driving or would a super beefed up dana 30 be able to take the abuse of 35's? i do mild to heavy 4x4ing we have everything from mud to rocks to huge hill climbs and swamps where i live. are trusses a good thing to invest in when beefign up the dana 30 thanks TIm :Canadaflag: -

ok i was lookign at lift kits and I'm stumped between: motion offroad 4.5 inch lift motion offroad 6.5 rubicon 5.5 inch lift I'm going to be 4x4ing alot and up here its alot of mud hills and water not alot of rocks but i do hope next year to take a 4x4 trip to the states. so pretty much i want an all round lift kit i know you'll never find a lift kit that does everything but i just want to make sure i get a strong reliable lift that can take abuse. also would it be a good idea to get long arms for a 4.5 inch lift?

i used to work at the tire shop at costco it was really good. i remember getting in tires that were done at canadian tire and walmart and they used never seize and stuff on the lock nuts which is stupid and they never torqued them properly and costco uses nitrogen and when i worked there this summer i think it was 9 bucks a tire that was canadian.

ok i was watching some videos about rusty's long travel kit does it replace your leaf springs all together?
-
i was told that the dana 35 in the back will break with 35's if you do anything more then light wheeling....
-
what size are the tires on your comanche? do you still have the dana 35 in the back? what type of wheeling you doing with it? how big of lift? there thats my questions of the day haha
