  1. Ax15 is the manual that would fit
  2. I'll look on my shelf. I probably have one
  3. I have a complete red interior minus bucket seats if it wins, dash pad is in rough shape though
  4. I babied it for the first 500 with comps cam break in additive and changed the oil and I'm running mobile super conventional oil. He did use assembly lube.
  5. Well I do know I've built up compression since I first started out. What exactly is the proper way to break in an engine?
  6. Had the valves done, had the block and head machined cylinders honed.
  7. If the rockers are over tourqued could this happen? I'm wondering if I don't need to retorque the rockers
  8. If the rockers are over tourqued could this happen? I'm wondering if I don't need to retorque the rockers
  9. It smokes on start up and whenever I step on the gas
  10. At 70 you should run 1900ish with 31s and 3.07s. The shift light comes on around 1400-1500 rpm. If it comes on at 45mph I'd bet at the very least the speedo gear in the tailhousing is wrong
  11. It was my uncle. He rebuilt in 04 or 06, wrapped it up in 8 or 9 layers of plastic and duct tape and put in the bed of the truck where it stayed until I got it a year ago
  12. I'm pretty sure all the oil is in the cloud of blue smoke that comes out of my tail pipe. This motor only has 3500 miles on it
  13. Is there any way to reduce the amount of oil I'm burning without pulling the motor apart? I'm burning 1qt ever 500 miles or so. I'm running mobile 1 super 5000 10-30 conventional. (Cheapest name brand oil I could find since I burn so much of it)
  14. Factory recommends 10w30. I run 10w30 in the winter and 10w40 in the summer.
  15. To all you pioneer owners who have been looking for new decals, I found some! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=381000416466&alt=web
  16. A third on the tach. I pulled the bulb on my shift light out. The other thing to check is if you have the right speedo gear in your truck. I've got a stock 88 4.0 5 speed 2wd with 3.07s and 235/75/15s and at 70mph I run about 2k. With 31s you should run slightly less. Somewhere around here there is a spreadsheet with what speedogear you need based on tire size and gear ratio
  17. You can buy them on eBay as a set. B46j and ra3. http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=270989536849&alt=web Bought these for my 88 cost me like $1.00 to have a local lock smith cut them
  18. I'm looking for an 5speed 4x4 trans for my 88 with the 4.0. I've got a lots of parts to trade to help bring the cost down. Looking anywhere along i65 in the northern Indiana Chicago area or in Alabama
  19. I thought about that. But I can get an OEM one for about 1/4 of the price
  20. Does it just spin on? How exactly did you retrofit it?
  21. I'll be in NWI in about 2 weeks for 2 months before I go to basic.
  22. Maybe they needed something to make the show a little better lol
  23. I was watching an episode of 2 and 1/2 men today at lunch because nothing else was on and for only a split second i saw something familiar and when i clicked rewind on my dvr, it was exactly what i thought it was!
  24. Well after a year the replacement knob i bought for my jeep bit the dust and now its annoying as hell. also need to change the boot. I bought a leather one at walmart for $8.00 but it doesnt look right in my truck so id like to find an OEM boot. But id like to go with a different Jeep knob because i don't really find the factory style comfortable. I found a knob off a 97+ cherokee and a cj/yj type. will they both fit and does anyone have any input on comfort?
