I need to look up a vin # to make sure a mj I'm looking at is not hot. does anyone know a site that does that for free. I called the cops and they were less than helpful :dunno:

Ok I found a 1989 comanche 4x4 4.0 5speed on craigslist for $300. 150,000 mi the steering colum has been removed :eek:, but everything els is there. I don't have pictures yet, but the guy is going to email me some. I don't know what tranny is in it, but I asked him to send me a pic of the tranny... the rig is 3 1/2 hours away so yea What do you think? Ill keep you posted on the pics. peace :wavey:

I run 1qt of lucas oil stabalizer......super boost in pressure does not drop when engine is warm.

Lol .....Well when i did my ball joints i crushed one when I was putting it in.........when I did mine the old joints were rusted in pretty good, but the press i used poped them right out........if your using a rachet put a cheater bar on the end so you can turn it .......... i tried using an impact driver and it didn't work hade to man handle it ....... :cheers:

I'm I the only one who thinks its the fuel pressure regulator??? :nuts: ??? He said he can hear the pump turn on for like 10 seconds............................. Well I'm very interested to find out what it ends up being .......... :chillin:

Ok We know this, however the fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel rail......And could very well be causing his problem........It would pay off to at least have a look at it .........take the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure reg and see if there is any gas in it.............gee :chillin:

schreader valve is on the fuel rail, not the pressure regulator. it is normal to get fuel out of the schraeder valve. it is NOT normal to get no fuel from it when depressed. sounds to me that your CPS has failed. it's probably melted to the exhaust manifold. Ok there should be no fuel in the vaccume line if there is you need to replace the fuel pressure regulator. :agree:

fuel pressure regulator....... :chillin: fuel pump???? the 1st is more likly mine did the exact same thing when the FPS went out......It would turn over like it wanted to start and then i would smell gas then would start for like 4 seconds sputter and die. :chillin: good luck

Dude you don't know what your talking about! Flux core is super easy to weld with. just because you can't weld with flux don't discourage people.........I have had the best luck with flux core....Very pretty welds of of a miller 220v flux core, but You can def tell the quality of the welder by the welds. Don't Be cheap A welder is an investment that can make you $$$$$$ :brows: :brows: If you know how to use it proporly. You can penetrate just as deep with solid core wire if you adjust your welder right..........Infact I think flux core is far more forgiving than solid core plus gas is a pain in the @$$ when you run out in the middle of a project....... :yes: ummm...skip the "dude you don't know what you're talking about" crap. i'm simply saying what i was taught in welding school. flux core is considered one of the "ugliest" welds, but is also considered one of the strongest. does that mean you can't make decent looking welds with it, absolutely not. so you don't know what you're talking about trying to tell me i don't. :no: :nuts: LMAO ok sorry bob I guess that was sorta uncalled for, but when I was working as a welder welding all day we used alot of flux core and the welds had to be perfect, and they: were :cheers
