Dude you don't know what your talking about! Flux core is super easy to weld with. just because you can't weld with flux don't discourage people.........I have had the best luck with flux core....Very pretty welds of of a miller 220v flux core, but You can def tell the quality of the welder by the welds. Don't Be cheap A welder is an investment that can make you $$$$$$ :brows: :brows: If you know how to use it proporly. You can penetrate just as deep with solid core wire if you adjust your welder right..........Infact I think flux core is far more forgiving than solid core plus gas is a pain in the @$$ when you run out in the middle of a project....... :yes:

:agree: I went threw 4 fuel pumps before I bought a bosch one and that one still works...... One you get your fuel tank cleaned out if your still having problems check your fuel pressure regulator......Its the part that your fuel line goes into and is connected to the fuel rail........I was having a problem with my mj wouldnt start would just crank over thats it, but right before it stopped running it was running really bad and smoking......then would crank over and flood smoke and die, then just dead untill i put like 3 fpr's in.......... good luck buddy :cheers:

Get A miller 220v mig and also buy the alum gun for aluminum ......... just run flux core with no gas for steel it will work fine.... For alum you need to use a shield gas ..... 100% argon.......... Plus if your outside you will find that flux core is much more desirable :brows: imho :yes:

Yea I was just where you are at.......My mj just broke down out of the blue over 6 months agao I'm just now getting around to getting it fixed .......Got the new wiring harness in and....Nothing still wouldnt start .........I left the ignition on and started jumbling around in the engine compartment and found a broken wire that solved my starting issue ......Now I just have to put the dash back in, and also figure out what I'm going to be doing about my speedo cable that I broke, but its running now and has got me thinking about everything els I need to fix , and I like it. Its super fun to work on .....well most of the time when I'm not cursing and throwing things ............... and yea sure you could get rid of you money pit and get a diffrent rig , but the fact is your truck needs you....... WOW

Ok so I still can't find a speedo cable for my truck .......... my question is can I put a xj gage cluster and speedo cable in my truck?? Or just swap the fitting on the back of the cluster for the cable or ............ any ideas please help ....... OH !!!!!!!!! I got my truck running !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the fist time in like 6 months ..... found a broken wire under the hood ....... little bugger .............. So i really need to figure out this speedo cable problem........... :help:

I wish I still had that option......When I called napa they said "Oh yeah we have that in stock just come pick it up" So I decided to remove the speedo cable from the truck to bring it in to make sure they were giving me the right one, and to show them the right one so I didn't look like an idiot when I told them it was wrong.........anyway in the process of removing it the white plastic portion seperated from the cable :headpop: so yea now it completly worthless I really need some :help: :cheers: :cheers: :wall: :shake:

The old ones are the best At one point i had a 77 suzuki ts185.....fun fun ..........1979 kawasaki 350 bighorn also fun it did about 95mph
