i just scored 2 sheets of aluminum (6'x4' and a 2'x2' ) thats used to make race cars free from a guy at work!! woohoo so i think i'm gonna rethink the "design" of my doors. :D

mine only does that when i turn the climate control to off..lol :D :roll: so the only thing i can think is a vacuum leak or wire/switch messing up

i just reach outside..it works pretty good

well got one bout half done. just need to get some sheet metal to finish up. BTW welding on thin metal sucks..its a long process with flux-core wire.

well i decided that runnin the MJ doorless looked bad so i'm makin half doors for the trails. Started one tonite but my sazall blade broke... :cry: here's a pic so far, i'll update as i progress.... :)

i would check the steering components first...tie rods, pitman, ball joints,..etc A ss is just a cover up type fix, if other parts are bad. just my $.02

thats one of my future mods..i have a brand new one out in the garage never even been outta the box... :D i just gotta get time to go to my dads house and see if there's another layin around.

anybody have pics of what the stock leaf packs look like? i am trying to figure out if mine are AAL or full lift packs. thanks in advance!!

ya i have a small punch that about a foot long thats a little smaller around than the pins. i just sprayed them with PB blaster for about 3 days and beat them out with the punch. they were pretty tough bugger to get out.

the limited slip part don't work anyway...so if i put in the correct fluid could it start working again? oh wait..never mind thats why i'm buyin a welder soon...lol :wink: thnks for the info its always good to know as much as possible about stuff!!

what would/could happen if i didnt put friction modifier in my gear oil in a trac-loc axle? i'm running royal purple in the TJ but i don't want to spend that much on the MJ D-35.

heck it'd be easy to install anything in that shop!! :shock: :lol: don't think the gas tank filler would last too long on a jeep where he has his. :twisted:

yup ya just jinxed yourself...hehe pb blaster some of the nuts/bolts the day before ya start just to make things easier.

i got me a great one..she gets mad when i go wheelin without her!!lol infact we only own Jp's.. TJ(mine) MJ(mine) and ZJ(hers). she just gets jealous when i spend all day workin on them and not with her..hehe :lol:

K..where/what are the oil galleries? how hard is it to pull the pushrods out and put them back in..ie is there valve lash to adjust or do i just torque them to the proper specs?

guess we'll have to keep searchin..hehe :D

I pulled my valve cover to replace the gasket and was wondering if this looked normal for 175,000 miles? Should all the rods turn freely or just some of them? i love the 3550 that is in my TJ and the only bad thing bout it is the chatter while in neutral but i put royal purple in and it has gottin a lot more quite.
