Why waste your time with a 2.8 or a 3.4? if your bound and determined to stick with a 90* V-6 :nuts: ..then why not go with the 3.8 Buick Grand National Turbo set up.. 4 barrel carb..plus you can actually stroke that one and know it will last!.. Piss on that whole 2.8l-3.4l crap!! that's as bad as trying to stuff a 305 in a fullsize chevy pickup when you have access to a 350 that could go in it.. :wall: just my .02....good luck

Take the extra time to replace the rear main and front main seal's...even if there not leaking :doh: ..(at least you know there new).. and might as well buy a high flowing oil pump while you have it torn down... Sick Rig btw :thumbsup:

Good point..Iam going to stop by where its at this week to dump some fresh fuel in it, the spark plugs looked decent.. it turns over...thats it...

Iam picking up a clean 90MJ for $300.00 that just plain won't start..I re-timed it and had it checked , changed out coil,distributor,cap/rotor,and checked for fuel pressure and spark (not in that order)... its a manual..is there a nuteral safety switch? my friends changed out the CPS also.. 4.0,4wd,5spd..

first off..sorry if re-post.. but felt this is a worthy topic... Iam in search of needed info for setting up aftermarket lights on both of my Xj's, my Daily Driver/work rig and my wheeler.. I found this awhile back and Iam going to copy it for my head lights, since Iam running conversions on both rigs.. http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htm.. I work out of my 91 xj, doing HughesNet satellite installs and sometimes get stuck working late into the night and dark.. Would love to beable to see wtf Iam doing with out using a head lamp or flashlight.. What having you done for light placement and wiring/relays/toggles? thanks..Spanaway mudder :USAflag:

thanks guys..went n got a new pump...I think the negative wire had vibrated off the terminal... anywho..got a new one for free...

I drove it for 2 more weeks with no problem...it just started acting up lastweek.. where is the relay.. I can hear the pump turning on...

I had my fuel pump go out on me a couple weekends ago while I was on the road working...luckly enough my aunt lived near by..I got a new pump and replaced it..didnt replace the filter till today couse I have had problems starting it... well.I go to my plenum and press in my pressure releaf valve and no gas comes out..WTF :headpop: PLEASE HELP!!! air in the lines maybe? clogged line maybe? what the hell do I do?

Or the battery terminal... Just went thru that...try twisting the terminal then try agian..if it is..drive to a auto shop and replace terminal's after you clean them...

Nice looking Rig man..:cheers: hows the inside and the rest of the outside of it? for the CB...I bought a adaptor that able's my CB antenna to be used as my radio antenna aswell.. Check your local truck stop/CB shop.... :chillin:

I found your site from a guy on pnwjeep.c.. who is currently building up a MJ.. for the past few years, I have had my eye's set on a 87 4.0 2wd Mj that has become a moss garden.. Its really rough around the edges.. But I might be tradeing strait across a 87 Bronco2 that was given to me.. Currently I drive/wheel a 90 bastered built XJ.. Something about jeep's that just got a hold of me.. anyways.. I wanted to introduce myself on here.. I have been scanning thru a few build ups.. nice work!! I like the one with the bed outside skins cut off..Iam thinkin about doing that to the 87..since around both rear tires the skin is all buckled n rusted.. up here in the great PNW we can get away with alot of mods..not much for lift laws here either I do plan on going fullsize axles under it so I can run some BIG A_S TIRES under it and take it thru some of our big bog's n holes up here.. hoping this rig will MJ will end up being alittle more Tubethingy then truck with in a few years.. anywho..thats my speal... I will post pics of the MJ once its mine... :cheers:
