The original 4.0L was used from '87 - '90. It used Renix (Renault/Bendix) fuel injection, a closed cooling system, and was rated for 177 HP - if I remember right. The HO 4.0L arrived in '91. It used Chrysler fuel injection, a open cooling system, and was rated for something like 190 HP. This is of course a simplified comparison. There were many other differences between the two - intake, exhaust, etc. Willy

Actually, I probably would call her a dog...at least the female version. :D An over privileged one at that, who has no concern for others. That dog you can keep. Willy Wow, sounds like Ms. Berry has personally wronged you our your family... over privileged or not, I'd would hit that like a fat kid hitting the all you can eat desert bar... I can't stand criminal celebrities who get off easy. But, even before she was a criminal, I never understood what her appeal was. Willy Needs a head transplant. :rotfl2: Willy

What is it doing? Is it not turning over? That can be caused by the NSS. This shows you what needs to be done to clean the NSS. Willy

The books were immensely better. I was always very impressed by his ability to explain an incredibly complicated concept in a way that was easily understandable. Willy

What is an SNS? What specific problems are you having? Does it turn over, just not start? Will it not turn over at all? I would also check for spark. Make sure the distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, and coil wire are good. Willy

Everything I've read points to the switch from 260x to 297x u-joints occurring some time in '96. Willy

I've never heard of that. It doesn't make sense. Doesn't the T-case engage the front D.S. similar to engaging gears in a manual transmission? I haven't had one apart, but from googling it, the system looks identical. This doesn't apply to our vehicles. It was necessary on some vehicles with manual or automatic hubs to back up for the hubs to disengage. Since our hubs are always engaged, there is no need to reverse. Do you have a front locker? If so, and the CAD is not disengaging, I could see how that would cause some binding when turning. If you don't have a front locker than I would guess that the transfer case is not fully disengaging. That would require cutting off the rear lower quarter panels. Most manufacturers usually avoid those types of modifications on mass produced products. Willy

Harmful or not is irrelevant. It is personal choice. If some idiot wants to destroy their brain, feel free. It is their brain to destroy. The government should stay out of it. Unfortunately this country will never be "free" until each person can make their own choices instead of having the beliefs of others forced upon them. Willy

Never personally purchased anything from them, but everything I have heard has been good. All their products appear to be well thought out and high quality. Willy -
