thats a sick lookin' jeep :popcorn: . thing that bugs me tho is that with all the body mods done they left in the idiot lights and didn't swap it for the gauges...

Where exactly the fan sensor on the engine? ive been trying to find it threw my chiltons book for newbs and various websites but can't seem to get it. i read this a few times over but don't think its one of these http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Eng ... ostics.htm . ive tryed to find it myself maybe i'm not looking in the right spots :mad:

whats the name of the sensor that turns the electric fan on when the engine gets hot? i go into checker and autozone they all tell me a different name and different prices :nuts: . i dunno anyone?

i kind of had the same problem just mine told me it ONLY had to be a .gif. i just copyed the picture i wanted to use onto paint then saved it as a different file as a .gif(due to gif files having crappy color quality i didnt want to ruin the original picture). maybe try a gif? hope that helped at all

Or.......you could ask one of us if they have an extra aux fan laying around, and save a few $$$ over a new one :roll: so anyone have a cooling fan i could use in the minnesota area?

That sucks that its a little messed up now but atleast you got her back :cheers: . i once read somewhere a while ago that jeeps are one of the most stolen vehicles, especially the XJ, just due to the fact that they are GREAT for cruisin around in with people...awww good memories from when i was 16 and my neighbor would take his moms 91 XJ HO and we would go racing, climbing hills, hanging with girls... long story short mustange GT has nothing on a decent HO :D

So while at the JY looking for a F-ING cooling fan i found somthing else i needed in a XJ there. low and behold it was the Temp gauge sensor i needed! :D so after getting pissed off about the cooling fan i popped the new sensor i just got right into the engine and my temp gauge works AWSOME now . So i had a frustrating day but an acomplishing one at the same time :D . I know for most of you a simple temp sensor is no big deal to put in, but my newbie @$$ feels really good about it :chillin:

ok so i rewired the whole circut today(the right way with fuses and all). i used 15A fuses for both the switch and the fan. It didn't surprise me when the fan fuse blew. Should i bump up to a 20A? 20 is what i was gunna do in the first place but was worried it might damage something. Btw i went to a few JY and out of ALL the jeeps there i only found ONE(yes thats right only one) cooling fan, the rest had been taken. So i tryed it out and the damn thing barley spun before it just stopped working all together... :headpop: :mad:

lol ok i checked out this site but my xj is 1 year too old to get my manual...could i just use the 88 one or is it unbelivably different?

Dude...aquatic aquarium creaturs HATE me. i can't even take care of a non salt-water 10 gallon tank with 3 crabs in it. they died 4 days after we got them. then the fish we had before that did'nt last long either...i gave up :headpop:

ha good story. this is why i'm a little reluctant to be a home owner. cuz i know there will be times when I'm just too damn lazy to take care of my lawn and leave my cars laying around without wheels. them some nice 300z s btw. and don't you know that for most people in society driving/owning an jeep = redneck trash? then again REAL rednecks don't take care of are their cars and keep their yard nice and tidy...YOU POSER :D
