  1. Only thing i can think of is to try and find An F body oil pan they should be a lot shorter and should give you more clearance under their
  2. Thanks i hope it dosent become a PITA tryin to get it done before summer ends. Still waiting for 4 more parts. Headers, radiator and now i have to find a NP208 tc. I already have the painless harness for the LS1. Also got a Dana 44 front from a 2004 Rubicon with 4.10 gears and a set of 4.10's on the shelf for the rear. I'm hoping thats the right gear ratio :dunno:
  3. Did a bit more today got the mounts in And moved a few things forward because the t350 is shorter then the AW4. New tranny made it to me by lunch time so maybe by this weekend ill have the motor and tranny in and bolted down. I might have to follow CW's lead and stiffin the frame a bit, But not to sure its pretty clean under their don't see any rust where it would warrent a patch. I had to make sure they fit right and drilled two new holes for more support
  4. I know that jeep its out here in KS the place is called 4X4land in topeka Mike the owner said this was like a gobaby orange or something like that
  5. Paid $2.10 for regular this mornin and $6.00 for a pack of smokes
  6. I don't think i have even seen sand in KS :rotfl2:
  7. Go with the V8 swap its a ton more fun and pretty easy to boot
  8. Well I'm not new here but this will be my first build that i let anyone eles in on. I found this 91 short bed eliminator sometime ago for about $350 and dragged it home. The motor was toast along with most of the wiring couldnt find any of the bolts to try and put some stuff back on it till i found a new motor. :headpop: :headpop: The plain was to drop in a SBC maybe a TPI from a vette or something like that. give it a small lift nothing big maybe 4" just for a good DD show off kind of thing. Then i found this bad boy 2002 LS1 out of a WS6 TA. I found out that this was one of many that left gm with the LS6 block and LS1 dressings. Their is a big debate over how much HP their really is but for now I'm just going with about 350 for the fun of it till i get it on a dyno.
  9. :wall: What am i doing wrong here never mind
  10. I don't have any problems with mine yet  I also have a 4" lift under it. What kind of problem you having?
  11. Very nice  Now if i could get the old lady to disentigrate in to my driveway :rotfl2:
  12. Cheyenne thanks i was fearfull of breaking it after i pulled the bolts and it still didnt come apart. Was hoping for an easy tear down  but not this time.
  13. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to pull the input shaft out of the tc with out breaking it all the waydown. The last person that rebuilt it must have used super glue on it with the gasket sealer :wall: Any info is greatly appreciated as i can't afford to break anything at this point getting it brokedown.
  14. SS is that your build? Why can't i find the write up on that anywhere?
  15. I would have to agree 31's look great with a budget boost under a manche
  16. Wildman. You have a Manche that servived a new york salt season. WOW  I want to see this thing.
  17. :agree: To a point. don't go cheap with it. If your going to spend the time and cash on it do it right. You can check the net for alsorts of companys that make them. Advanced adapters along with Novak adapters make some great kits for a good price.
  18. Well it sounds like your thinking with your wallet like i am. If you don't need to beat on it don't. I'm not going to run mine offroad much just because of all power detonating parts i can hardly afford now. I'm hoping the 4.10's control some of that power at the stop lights. Jumpboot's get heavy after a long day :USAflag:
  19. Just got my dana 44 front today so now i have D44's front and rear under mine with an LS1 ready to drop in. I would ask around about what gears to run with that motor. I have 4.10' s in both and plain on running 33's
  20. Looks great CW i hope i don't have to do anything like that to mine anytime soon but ifi do ill come back here for pointers
  21. UUM hello anyone here? Its dark and scary no one to talk to or finish this write up for us poor folks that could use something to read at three in the morning....... Hello :fool:
  22. Streetjeep I'm all good here in K.S. talked to an state DMV inspector and she said i was good to go. All they check to see is if the vehical was ever stolen by checking the vin...... I couldnt belive my ears. And thats only if the car didnt have a K.S. title
  23. I think I'm good here... But I'm pretty sure if its the same year or newer motor you should be okay most places And yea a 4 pooper is a lot lighter then an I6
  24. I think if you have an I6 you should be okay at stock ride. Try and find an F body oil pan if you can they are i bit smaller then most SBC pans. Check out Novak Adaptes they have a section about what to think about when your doing your swap.
  25. I hope i figured it out by now :dunno:
