Where in Canada are You? I am in Ontario and I have a Real nice MJ Box here that I would consider parting with if If need be as I am not in dire need of it as my Project MJ has a great Box on it already... I picked it up on a 92 MJ I got for parts and planned on getting it painted to drop onto my 89 MJ since the 89 Box is almost not worth repairing sinceI use it for my Offroad shop and Haul parts and scrap with it... Good luck in your search

Need some technical info...
Jeepman replied to lilredtruck's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
39PSI for all 4.0L with a Fuel pressure regulator on the rail (you will have 2 lines on the rail)... 49PSI for 4.0L with the Regulator at the tank (you will only have 1 line at the rail)... A subscription to alldata may help with the electricall diagrams... -
Yes the Ford is a 302 Fuel injected V8 for 1989 but it needs top be the inline pump and not one of the tank pumps and this is a good over the counter option...
-
When in Need of a inline pump I use a 1989 F150 Inline pump not the intank pump as there is two pumps on the F150... Not sure what it costs down your way but it is a realatively easy part to get no matter where you are if something happens... Good luck

Here is the Rusty's Kit.... http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=rustys&Product_Code=RP-AT11-XJ&Category_Code=PER_AIR You will Have to make the Shroud to keep the Hot air out if you want a true Cold air intake... If your 86 is Carbed then your out of Luck but you could just install an open element filter...
-
As said already Gears will help... Rusty's Makes a TB spacer and Cold air intake and you can always add a header and if you ditch the Clutch fan and go electric that will help with power and fuel... I Scrapped the Renix Engine in my 89 MJ and Swapped in a HO engine... I added a 91-up radiator and Twin 10" electric Fans with a Rugged Ridge Header and 03 TJ Intake as well as Added 2.5" Exhaust fromt the cat back (need to get a Front pipe Made still) Cold air intake and soon to be TB spacer... HP has shot up like crazy as well as my Fuel ecoonomy...

Can this header be welded?
Jeepman replied to MiNi Beast's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
MiNi Beast That Pic is the TPS... And The Cracked manifold will not Cause stalling... You Can weld the maifold and You need to Weld The crack and then inbetween the Two Tubes so that they can not move independ of each other then the crack should not come back, But like said already it may crack somewhere else... I would Check the IAC like said As well as the MAP Sensor and all Vac Lines... -
You can Swap any Transmission you want to Just Use the Pilot Bearing that is For the Transmission year... And in your Case your Going from a 4.0L/AX15 to a 4.0L/AX15 so the pilot bearing is an over the counter part...
-
The Pilot bearing does not change from 2WD to 4WD but the Bearing size does change from 1992 and Up so depending on your Year of Transmisions you are working with...
-
Fill the Space Behind the Pilot bearing with grease and Then use some Round stock and Insert it into the pilot bearing Hole now with a Hammer force the round stock into the hole and the bearing will slowly pop itself out... Add more grease and Continue to repeat until the bearing is out... I have done this before and It works but is slow... I have since bought a Pilot bearing removal tool to make the Job quicker and not so messy...

Not sure if this has been posted but Chrysler Wants to hear your Opinion and Thoughts for future products and Upgrades... https://www.chryslerllc.com/en/chrysler ... istens.com My request was for them to make the Jeep Gladiator Concept Truck and I sure hope lots of people show interest in it and Maybe they will re-consider making it....

If You want a Build Sheet for your MJ Just take the Ownership into the Dealership and Ask them to print you out a Build Sheet... The System only Goes back to 88 so ge them while you can...

Here is a few VIN Decoder Sites http://jeep.avtograd.ru/VIN/vin_en.asp http://oljeep.com/gw/vin_91-93.html
-
Yes They are the Same...
-
I ran the VIN and It does not tell me the Model extension but You do have the D44 rear axle and it is a D30 Front axle... I am not 100% sure but I thought if it had the D44 it was a Metric Tonne MJ... Anyways I hope this INfo Helps
-
A CJ 3 speed is a T150 but Like I said earlier you only need to get the Piolt bearing and sleave for the Tranny you have since you already have a 4.0L
-
Go and Get a Pilot bearing and Sleeve for the Year of the tranny and you will be fine, As for the T-case you will need to get a 23 spline Case or replace the 21 in your current case for a 23

I would Say $2000 For Mine if I were to sell it...

Check Your DC VIN for Recalls
Jeepman replied to Jeepman's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That's Funny Because Here in Canada If there is an Outstanding Saftey Recall they Replace it Free... I know that Warrentee and Emissions Is Not covered But Saftey Recall's Have to be covered... -
Here is something interesting for Most Jeep and Chrysler Products and I thought I would share it for those who do not know already... DC recalls By VIN Now at the bottom you will see A place to insert your Last 8 digits Of your VIN number and It will tell you What recalls You have outstanding for your Jeep or truck.... CJ's won't be recognised as I have tried already.... The Odds are You only qualify for Safty Recall's Unless your truck is still under factroy Warrentee... Remember to Add the site to your Favorites...
