  1. Sounds good Hudy, whenever you are ready.
  2. With the bed on the frame, then yes difficult to reach equipment to all the spots, and unable to address all clean up and coating. Bed would have to come off frame for this to be done thoroughly with blasting. I don't know what Hudy's plan is. Just offering my help. And letting all CC members that I have this available. Thank you!
  3. Hudy, I see that you are from Philly area. I live in South Jersey. I can help you out . I have a mobile sandblasting company. Let me know if you want me to blast away!

    Jeep show

Local Jeep show at Valenzano winery in Shamong NJ. Jeeps in The Vineyard. November 11 Saturday.
  5. Someone could have gone old school on that radiator in the past, and did a fix using stop leak and added fibers, hair, anything to help stop a leak. Black pepper and an egg in the radiator was a fix, years ago.
  6. Very nice! What did the wood come from?
  7. Funny you mention DiNick's, that's exactly what I ate,so good.

    The auto show

Went to the Philadelphia Auto show this afternoon. I was hoping to be teased with a jeep pick up. Nope. Nuthn. Not even a concept jeep. The representative only had the same old not so clear info on when and what. Although there was a 2017 JK, customized by a subcontractor through jeep. Price on it was around 70k. Had a blast though checking out all makes and models, and had some really good food at the Reading terminal market.
  9. Yes it is
  10. What's the return policy?
  11. It's a plastic fastener holding a shim to the chassis. It "should" stay in place when you remove the bed. If anyone of them gets moved or removed, just set back in its original location. you'll see when the bed comes off.
  12. Welcome Jeff. I'm in NJ too.
  13. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  14. That should work, maybe two of those fans/3" ducts. Don't forget about the MJ tailgate furniture and CJ grill for the fireplace.
  15. Depending on the lay out, you could put Louvers through the wall to the adjacent room. Louvers would be on the wall up near the ceiling, ideally the stove would be on the opposite, exterior wall. Should be able to find, or build Louvers with a fan, controlled by a thermostat. Just don't want to dump warm air on the house thermostat in the existing room. depending on how crazy you want to get involved, you can install a firewood box, exterior to interior, dump some logs from the outside and retrieve them from the inside next to the stove. Sounds like a nice project to do.
  16. Thank you Pete for the CC goodies. And thanks to everyone!
  17. Thank you fellas. I will put my order in.
  18. Does anyone know where I can get the letters for the tailgate in black? I'm just about getting my 89 back on the road. Paint is done. I looked in the drawer where I thought I put the 4 black stickers for the tailgate. of course they're not there. I bought them about two years ago. And the only way that I will find the ones that I misplaced is to buy a new set. thanks.
  19. I know tomorrow starts a new weekend. But I had a choice, either enter a small local large mouth bass tournament. Or go to the wildwood jeep invasion. I chose to drive an hour to wildwood. Got a little saltwater fishing in though, on Friday night. Then checked out the jeep show on the beach. Not too many mj's. My mj is getting painted, otherwise it would have been on the beach shoulder to shoulder with all the other jeeps. Good vender turn out.I'm going to try to have my mj ready to drive to the OC Maryland jeep weekend. Most of my weekends are like what Pete did.
  20. Here's one way that works for me , generally for broken studs flush to the surface. Drill the center of the broken bolt using a step drill bit. The step drill bit should be the size, where the largest step of the bit is the same or very close to the same size of the diameter of the broken bolt. Continue to spray threads with your choice of breaker solution. Drill as deep as you can, however, stop before the larger steps touch the threads. The idea is to try to get as close as you can without touching down on the threads, which is at the top where you can see. Then try taking a small chisel and pry the thin bolt wall and expose the frame threads. Soak, and let that chemical mature. Then put the largest size extraction bit into the hole you drilled and try turning it out. If that dose not work, then use regular drill bits. Start with smaller diameter and gradually workup. If it's a total wreck, start working it out with a small chisel. Heat helps. If you can drill completely through the bolt, that helps. Be aware of anything on the other side, you don't want to drill through something like a fuel or brake line... Also be careful using the regular drill bits, after a hole is created by the step drill. The regular bit will tend to suddenly catch and snap.Pull out a broken bit with needle nose in the same spiral direction it wants to go. I know in your situation it's a tough loction. If needed Clean up the threads with a tap when you are done. Good luck. Works for me.
  21. May you crawl over that rock, dredge through that mud pit, conquer that mountain, and smile when you get to the top!
  22. Thank you!
  23. Good. Thank you. I need no body parts. Only drive train with wire harness. So I will continue to be on the look out for 91 to 95 xj's. As for ZJ, drive train bolt in?
  24. The doner Cherokee was sold before I got there. Quick draw Mcgraw beat me to it. Oh well. What are other good options? Just so I know to keep my eyes open.
