  1. saweet, so the DS I have in the MJ will work on the 231's output shaft? if so I am set ( minus a clutch kit ) also has anyone come up with a way to bleed the external slave setup for an ax15? I have the setup but it needs bled out and there is no bleeder on the slave cyl.
  2. Well the ole puke goat is taking the big dump  235,000+ miles I guess I can't complain . the problem is I havent gotten around to getting a new 231 to go with the ax15 yet , I have a chance to get a 231 from a 98 XJ . my question is will it work? the newer 231's have no tail cone for the output shaft just the shaft and a rubber boot . has anyone run into this yet? did it work out for you ? or do I have to build another new rear dshaft?.
  3. Well looks like I'm not that crazy after all :D . RE coils here I come. My rear springs have settled as well but because of the extra spacers up front I can't tell how much, But I wish I could make the rears a bit stiffer . Maybe if the rear springs where a bit stiffer I could carry more than 200lbs with out the ole heep draggin he arse.
  4. I have stared and measure the thing till I broke a tape measure the only thing I can come up with is the springs. the spacers are right and the axle and frame points where the spring mounts are fine so are the control arms . the truck has never been wrecked or offroaded .
  5. Yup stays 1" low when I am not in it , and when I am it feels worse from the drivers seat. I have two stock isolators and a 3/4 spacer per side on mine ( cheap additional lift ) I was thinking of takeing out the 3/4 spacer on the pass side to level it some. but in the grand scheme something is still not right and just knowing that will make me crazier. :D
  6. The wife has tried to get canadian postage here and they said they cannot help ( us postal service ) she even looked up a few canadian postage places on line and gave them a call and they said they cannot get us postage because they don't take US dollars? I am stumped ( anything I can't hit with a BFH does that to me :D )
  7. Before anyone tells me rustys sucks :D I Have learned my lesson a bit late  The issue I have has been a head scratcher for a while and I am stumped so I figured I would ask anyone who has a rustys lift if they are havin the same issue. I installed a 4.5" rustys lift and 4" rustys leafs on my LWB MJ I had to add 1 1/4 extra lift spacers to the front end to hold up the heavier than hell warn winch bumper and winch. The problem I am having is that the MJ sits 1" lower in the DS front than the pass side does and I't makeing my crazy  . The jeep sat perfect with the old 200,000 mile suspension on it and when I fist lifted it it sat fine . But now a year or so later it still sits low on the DS I tryed swaping in a diffreent set of rustys 4.5 coils and still it leans is anyone else haveing an issue like this? I know that I have a 22 gal tank and I am mostly the only passenger in my heep so could just haveing a full gas tank and my weight cause the jeep to set low on one side? TIA
  8. I have a question for anyone in canada, how would I go about getting some canadian postage that the wife can use to get something mailed to the states? She has had no luck trying to find postage rates from canada to FL Also what would canadian stamp rates be in Dollars? she is a writer and the pubisher is in Ontario , what she needs is to send them a postage paid envelope to get her replies mailed back to her . Thanks for any help
  9. I heard from progressive today, there cutting a check to me for $242.82 That should buy me some steel :D The factory bumpers are no longer availible acording to the stealership near me, No biggy though :D
  10. I was thinking of making me own ;) But I don't think the insurance company will pay for raw materials :D Thats why I am trying to find some prices on replacements, somethin to throw at em
  11. Anyone know of a good sourse for an MJ rear bumper? I was rear ended by a woman the other day , and the stock bumper is toasted ( thank god for lifts and reciver hitches :D Stock ones and after market types either or , I am hopeing I can get an upgrade out of this 8)
  12. I have the warn rock crawler winch bumper , the damn thing is massive and heavy  I noticed that when I put my lift on ( rusty's 4.5" lift ) that the fron settled to only about 3" of lift I called rustys and they said there springs where 150's and that I would have to add a spacer to bring it up . I ended up adding an extra stock isolator bushing and a 3/4 inch poly spacer , that put it where it needed to be . But now it seems like the azz end has settled down a bit more than the front . Did anyone put there overload' back in with there rustys packs?
  13. 1. bout 2 years 2. bout 10,000 miles 3. camping stuff and work stuff , never more than 500lbs. These springs don't like a lot of heavy stuff. 4. nope sua 5. yup stock shackles I had to add 1 1/2 inch worth of spacer to the front to accomidate the huge warn winch bumper and the soon to be mounted winch , so it looks a bit high in the front . But the back seems to have settled a lot more than I expected
  14. Well I have had the crustys springs on a while now and they seems to have settled out a bit low :headpop: . I would say to about a 2.5 in lift. Anyone else notice that there packs have settled that much? or is it just my luck with ole crustys?.
  15. Hmm, I could have sworn some folks where having to move a wire when swapping from the big gas gauge cluster to the smaller full gauge set?. I read it here many moons ago :dunno: . maybe it was to make the low fuel light work? Ah well if it works sweet :D If not it,s an easy fix :brows: :D
  16. Thanks Pete :D You da man
  17. Got mine the other day :D I put the flag/MJ on te rear window and the CClub.com one on the windsheild. Unfortunatly it rained the next day and the windsheild sticker bit the dust . I have never had that happen before , once the wipers started peeling it all I could do is watch the letters just disapear
  18. WOWW THATS A SWEET MJ  is that for real? did they make one like that or is that a home built body?.
  19. as DC has in his sig don't BUY RUSTYS!!!! :D
  20. strokers run 21-24 lb'ers. I think the 2000+ engines use a 20 or 21 lb er , I'm not sure . Of course I is to Poor to own anything that new anyways :D
  21. I think the stock relays are 30amp .
  22. on my 88 MJ 4.0 , I used ford 19lb/hr injectors . I got the set off ebay for about $150.00 brand new . They work a bit better than the stock Injectors. you can also use HO jeep injectors 94-97's I believe are also 19lb'ers
  23. Nice Floyd refrance :D, you passed the test
  24. Pull the rear and front Dshafts lower the crossmember down as far as it will go and get at those bolts , It's a lot of work but you get to keep some skin and you don't drop a bolt in the bell houseing . ( Ive done the bolt in the clutch trick it aint fun  ).
