I have a 3 piece for sale in Mass. $75 obo -
Incom- I'll take a look and let you know. sinkrun- That would be a good idea but I think my neighbor's would whine about the junk mailbox. It's bad enough I have a nascar slick mounted through the mailbox box post already. lol

I had it up on the list earlier. No luck. I also had the cab. Which I'm cutting up if anybody wants pieces other than the floor. The cab has been stripped completely. All but the back window.

Yup, it has the vacuum tube and I doubt anyone would bother for a rotted 3.55.

No harm bud, i can't tell ya how many times ive paused and or rewound a movie only to be dissapointed by a Ford Ranger, S-10 or Toyota.....haha I did the same thing last night. I was watching Groundhog Day and I thought I saw an MJ with a rollbar and visor, but when I paused and inspected it was a first gen ranger. The marker lights were my clue.

I have a 3.55 front axle that was on an MJ plow truck. The spring and shock mounts are rotted to hell. Would anybody here pay like $50 for this and then cut off and weld on new mounts?

You could ship greyhound and the one I have is an AMC part. It says so right on the mat.

If you do make it fit, we'd love to see the process, or a least some pictures  -

So I Had A Thought For A Engine Swap
87sparTruck replied to Zebvance's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
There's a reason why everybody does the same swaps, they work and are beneficial enough to go through the effort in the first place. -
There you go!

They do pop up on craigslist every now and again. I just bought an original iron intake from a 70 390 for $50
-
I take that back on the high rise duels. Summit has them for $500
-
4 barrel intakes are around. Iron intakes are easy to find becasue most people switch to something like the edlebrock torker intake which is lighter and should flow better. Quarter panels they do reproduce. I had to replace both of my inner and outer quarters and rockers. Originals do pop up occasionally, mostly as parts cars. High rise dual intakes are rare and expensive. The last one I saw was at the national meet in sturbridge, ma. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Don't know him but he is the next town over. I figured it couldn't hurt to throw it out there. This one is steel after all.

I also have a 71 AMX, but mine is an Auto P code 360. Mine is a Go-Pak as well. Quicksilver with the spoilers and twin canopy vinyl. I'm not sure on the month the moment but I know it's not an early production 71 I do have the snorkle and cowl hood. I also picked up an early year center console and the arm rest. I plan on doing a 401 4 speed swap at some point. I already have headers, a Ford 9(previous owner), and a 1970 390 intake. Right now I just habe to work on the interior and brightwork when it comes back from paint. It's an orignial black interior with the cordoroy seats, but I have collected a Pierre Cardin Interior to drop in. I usually attend the AMC shows and meets around like Sturbridge as well. Time wise: I think mine has been off the road about as long with 130k on the clock. I've had it for 8 years and I AM that son who bugged his father to get it on the road. I've taken over at this point, though both my father and grandfather help me with it.

They are rare. What model do you have(AMX, SST, Base)? I'd love to see any pictures or updates on either of yours. I will post some of mine when I get it back from paint. I might even show some of my previous progress for kicks. Right now I'm refurbing the tail lights.
