  2. I bought a 1987 2.5 5 speed 2wd shortbed from a guy while in college. He lived in a factory in Augusta, ME where he kept his 6 or so cars. It was cool. He even has some pierre cardin seats I scored for my AMX. My father drove up with the trailer and I drove down from school. We loaded it up and got it home. It seemed like quite a deal. $500 and the underside had been ziebarted. When I go home and started to tinker with it i bought buckets from a 4 door cherokee to drop in. I took the bench out after fighting with one bolt and ended looking under the mat. To my suprise found swiss cheese. Both fronts and some of the rear as well as the tunnel were rotted. It leaks from somewhere in the firewall plus the taillights don't work and I have to replace the kingpins. Since then I bought an 89 mj cab to drop the floor in. There is a liitle more rot than the PO mentioned but at this point idc I'm fixing it. This brings me to this week. I have stripped the other cab and strarted to shop it up. I took the rear frame section off yesterday, today I will be at the pub, and tomorrow back on it. Hopefully start cleaning out the seam sealer and spot welds.

  7. That's why I mentioned javelin seats the fold forward like the 2 door xj's cuz the javelin is a 2 door with a back seat. And I'm all set with the welder. lol
  8. My bench has the curved brackets and they are rotted. I can probably make due with the cherokee buckets/brackets or fab up something. I have some javelin seats that might work with a little ingenuity.
  9. They come with ripped seats and the comanche brackets.
  10. I have 4 door cherokee buckets at the moment and 5' 10".
  11. About an hr from me. This one is 40 minutes... http://worcester.craigslist.org/pts/3758185709.html
  12. Pretty sure that was the first thing he sold when he started parting out that mj.

  14. Hmm just looked at mjeff's picture and my canister was actually infront of the blower motor unlike his. Might be the motor's causing the location change. I can check my 87 2.5 unless someone know's why.
  15. Yup I just removed one from my 89 4.0 MJ parts truck. It has 3 bolts holding it to the inner fender/wheel well in front of the blower motor.

  19. Yah I figured that a few people would want that. How does everybody break theirs?

  21. That figures it the YJ style and I have my stock rear with 4.10's(I believe) I'll have to verify.
  22. Haven't thought that far into it yet but something mildy agressive for a street truck. Budget build, I'm still sitting on the stock 14's for now, and I'm not gonna cut the fenders. I might just chnage the 3.55 to 4.10. Or I did find a wrangler 4.10 from the same era which I believe is a direct swap?
  23. The trouble would be finding a front axle with 4.10's.
